Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

Hi MysteryNotes, Welcome to our forum. sal Thanks for the welcome Sal! @OakTree - After a couple days of handling the knife, I've found that the sharp edge on the spyderhole doesn't bother me much now, and I am appreciating the grip it gives when opening it up. @425KRS - My mind is telling me yes, ...

Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

Thank you everyone who has replied me, I appreciate all of your help! I dropped by my local dealer earlier today and finally decided on the Native G10. Pic! Couldn't resist the build and weight of the knife. This little beastie came wonderfully sharp right out of the box too, a little touch up and i...

Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

As a fellow pro audio guy, my Delica gets the bulk of my work oriented pocket time. But I've been carrying my new Domino(the big brother version of the Dice) exclusively for the past week and it's held up remarkably well. I actually feel more comfortable cutting zip ties with due to the slightly th...

Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

I've spent a lot of time in a recording studio running cables and setting up mics, what would be ideal is a plain edge hawkbill knife about the size of a dragonfly. That would be perfect for wiggling in between a bundle of cables hooking the zip tie and pull cutting it without cutting yourself or t...

Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

First off, if you like heft in an easy to control non-scary pocket knife I'd say get a G10 Dragonfly 2, it sort of sums up a number of the features you are interested in. That and the feeling of solidity comes at a fairly low total weight, so it isn't a pocket buster and the mid lock design is very...

Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

Welcome to the forum, and Spyderco's excellent knives. You really need to try out a Dragonfly and a Delica. The Dragonfly is small, but very capable for lots of things. The Delica is just a great all around knife. Here's a Dragonfly vid to help you out... https://youtu.be/Vsd-o6BbY48 If you like a ...

Re: New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

Welcome to the forum MysteryNotes. I think the Native is a great place to start. The g10 version is indeed nice but I would advise you to at least consider the lightweight version. It is very light (hence the name) carries well and I think it is every bit as strong as the g10 version. It is also a ...

New to Spyderco! Help me pick one

Hey guys! I'm new to Spyderco knives, but I've been well aware of their reputation thus far. Have bought some Spydercos to give away as presents to friends and family(Salt, Dragonfly) and am now looking to get one myself. Little background. I live in Singapore, and am in the audio business, and typi...
