Will Spyderco ever do an Irish ethnic knife? I was thinking of something more like the sgian dubh (although that'd be Scottish). A Seax style knife would be interesting as well. Pitched this back in 2017! Glad to see some interest brewing. I would love to see a small fixed blade 3-3.25 inch blade a...
The chaparral is the best sage model. Change my mind. It's a Chaparral, not a Sage I do agree that the Chaparral has the same general shape but it would have to grow a little to actually be a Sage model. Y’all aren’t changing my mind. :D If spyderco called the chaparral the Sage 7 no one would blin...
Urban Lightweight - does 95% of everything I need. Simple, lightweight, robust and discreet...looking forward to different steels like the Damasteel variant.
1) I love the Manix 2 LW platform. It finds its way into my pocket more often than not. 2) A hybrid of the M2LW and Rockjumper would be a phenomenal design. M2LW + screw construction + more contoured handles FTW. That said I have pin construction with carbon steel (super blue Caly 3.5) and disassemb...
I'd really like to see this become a reality ... I suspect it would be a sprint and I'd be interested in one in G10 and another in FRN. Can they do burnt orange carbon fiber? Lava Fat Carbon - https://www.gpknives.com/media/catalog/product/cache/a814c5e59b116971d7c5140c4d75fcfc/f/l/fl02-fcltd_2.jpg
Sal - I never would have believed the RockJumper would bump the exquisite Caly 3.5 out of my #1 spot. I was looking forward to checking it out as I am a big fan of both Wharncliffe blades and FRN. I can already say that I am blown away by this design. My belief is that once more people get it in han...
Ivory G10 or Micarta would be my choice but polished. Ergos are good enough for a secure grip on this slipit, so I think the polished look is more fitting for the Damasteel blade. Also, should be easier to maintain/clean and keeps cost down vs Ti or CF.
The Caly 3.5 blade looks like another one that should work great in spyderedge... and since LW editions most times seem to come in steels that lend themselves to SE (VG10, BD1N... ) I hope they´ll do a serrated version of the Caly 3.5 LW...
Would love to see an LC200N/G10 back lock version. I enjoy the compression lock but something about this knife feels 'back lock' to me. G10 for utility and to reduce cost. Great knife all around though.
I agree that the UKPK is a high value/high performance option. Really looking forward to the LW Caly 3.5. My Super Blue is top 5 go to EDC but for Summer carry FRN will be nice and I'm looking forward to more steel options in the LW/Taichung platform.
Would prefer S30V to XHP for corrosion resistance but the Caly 3.5 is in my Top 5 all time knives, and I am really looking forward to the LW version. Hoping this might get the K390 treatment but if it is Taichung vs Seki it might be a stretch.
Hi, all- I'm looking to buy a Native Chief. I'm still dithering over whether or not to wait for the Sprint Run or get one with S30V (leaning towards the S30V.) The S30V appears to be sold out in most knife stores, but they are still available on Amazon. So, what I'm hoping you can tell me is: 1. Wi...
