Re: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK - HANDLE OPTIONS

Ivory G10 or Micarta would be my choice but polished. Ergos are good enough for a secure grip on this slipit, so I think the polished look is more fitting for the Damasteel blade. Also, should be easier to maintain/clean and keeps cost down vs Ti or CF.

The Caly 3.5 blade looks like another one that should work great in spyderedge... and since LW editions most times seem to come in steels that lend themselves to SE (VG10, BD1N... ) I hope they´ll do a serrated version of the Caly 3.5 LW...
Ooooh...serrations. :) :spyder:

Love the blade and handle profile. Would prefer to retain some length in both but looks great.

Re: Kapara LC200N

Would love to see an LC200N/G10 back lock version. I enjoy the compression lock but something about this knife feels 'back lock' to me. G10 for utility and to reduce cost. Great knife all around though.

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

I agree that the UKPK is a high value/high performance option. Really looking forward to the LW Caly 3.5. My Super Blue is top 5 go to EDC but for Summer carry FRN will be nice and I'm looking forward to more steel options in the LW/Taichung platform.

Re: Caly3 Lightweight??

Would prefer S30V to XHP for corrosion resistance but the Caly 3.5 is in my Top 5 all time knives, and I am really looking forward to the LW version. Hoping this might get the K390 treatment but if it is Taichung vs Seki it might be a stretch.

Re: Status of the Native Chief

Hi, all- I'm looking to buy a Native Chief. I'm still dithering over whether or not to wait for the Sprint Run or get one with S30V (leaning towards the S30V.) The S30V appears to be sold out in most knife stores, but they are still available on Amazon. So, what I'm hoping you can tell me is: 1. Wi...

Re: The best pocket knife ever

UKPK - Urban - Rhino are all contenders for me. I'm considering 'pocket knife' as a knife that would be carried 'in-pocket' rather than clipped. UKPK is close enough to the Caly 3.5 that ticks all the boxes for me until the 3.5 LW arrives. Would love to see a K390 UKPK. Urban is great, still kicking...

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

Could this Sheepsfoot/Wharncliffe blade profile be working into an existing handle platform (specifically thinking of the UKPK) in order to avoid the costs of new tooling and molds for the handle? I love the Roadie and would be all about a larger version myself though I am in agreement with Jazz tha...

Also looking forward to this eagerly. Just hoping this makes it into the K390 line but I'll be picking one up regardless of the flavor. =D

Re: Forum knife 2020 - final model poll

I opted UKPK as it has the widest level of acceptability (i.e. the most amount of forumites can own and use it) and because I imagine that SPY27 will most likely make its way into the Shaman platform (my second choice). Also, the UKPK is a great knife for EDC only rivaled by the as yet unavailable C...

Anyone know what this steel is like? The more I see this knife, the more I'm interested.
American analogue to Bohler M390. Different gen of powder metallurgy used for production but performance is probably indistinguishable.
