Only minutes ago I was over at the mountain bike forum. A couple guys over there are complaining about the high prices. Think about how bad it must be for people who play with both knives AND mountain bikes!

Ouch! That hit little too close to home.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

... ... ... Yeah, bad one. Completely forgot it was in the bag. I am one who usually gets to the airport early. Relax, have some food, beer, people watch. Normally I would have time to take it back to the car. There was no time today. That REX 121 looks good. This one for next few days. https://i.i...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Not in my pocket, but was temporarily in my carryon at the airport.

One, I’m an id10t. Two, what will the next exclusive Sage 5 be, because I need a replacement.

Re: Help with a Caly 3/UKPK...

More so, when comparing the Caly 3 to the G10 UKPK, the differences are very subtle. I would expect there to be a bigger difference based on the shape of the finger choil, but there really isn't. Not in my hands. Same with the blade stock. Took them both to an apple and some cardboard. I would have ...

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?

I am planning on doing a blade swap and scale dye. 4V DLC blade from a recent SNK Manix LW (missed out on the G10 version) into dyed gray BHQ G10 scales :crossed-fingers So kind of like this, good choice! https://i.postimg.cc/NFDqc72c/20231230-112856.jpg It will be more like a transparent charcoal,...

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?

I suppose that laws and persceptions have shaped my knife using habbits into what they are today. But at this point, I don't even think about it.

Perhaps the only time would be travel.

Re: Native 5 Lightweight - Lube pivot or not?

Surprisingly, I haven't had the need to. As mentioned, just on the lockbar interface, to make the opening smoother. I feel like I use my REX 45 Native 5 LW as salt series knife. Carried IWB during exercise, occasional dip in a river or lake, scrape mud off of bike tires when there are no sticks to b...

Re: What’s your favourite exclusive for future models?

K390, ranger green, G10, Golden models. Native, Shaman, Military, UKPK, Manix; I'm not picky.

Probably not going to happen, but that would do it for me.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Must say, these AWT scales have really been taking off around here lately and they all have looked pretty dang good! They feel extremely solid while not adding any weight. In most cases, they actually take away weight. Carrying my Shaman today. They have a Bone Yard section. I think these were arou...

Re: 2023 - Did your preferences change or stay the same?

Last 12 months, I'd say using more small knives (Native 5, Sage), and less of the big knives (Military, Chief). Medium usage remained the same, with PM2, GB2, and Shaman domininating pocket time.
