Re: Post Pics of your Favorite PAIR of Spydercos!

Don't have these two anymore, but what a pair! My first two Spydercos. Is that at the J&S Surplus and Outdoor Store? They have a pretty good Spyderco selection. Independent of the specific models, these two have been my ideal pair of folders on those days that I have two on me, https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I've been carrying my HH UKPK ... I'm with you. I have both the HH and the LW version. This model brings me back to the old school pocket knife days. Not the necessarily the design, but holding it brings back some nostalgia. I think you would like the Caly 3. https://i.imgur.com/WFsdmEm.jpg

Re: Post your Paramilitary 2s

Nice! How do you like the terotuff? Does it feel about the same as Micarta? I only have one micarta on a folder, from one maker. It is little more slick for a knife like the PM2. Although, once you get it litte wet, it does get a lot grippier. I do like the terotuf. As the fibers are more exposed, ...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Atleast that one matches. For goodness sake, atleast use the Caribbean's Ti clip! I would still prefer a wire clip, for continuity across the Slysz line. Using the Caribbean Ti clip would have been a good idea. If I manage to get a Swayback, I was thinking of having the stock clip sandblasted to be...

Re: What will you be getting from the new reveal?

Native Chief - I have been patiently waiting for a sprint/exclusive. I was ready for the REX 45 version, but I need some Golden CF. This one is a 100%, assuming I can get it. Shaman - same as above. In a way I wished for K390 with green micarta, but I can't wait anymore. About 80% on this one. SwayB...

Re: Heat treat problem?

... You can also run a study on larger batch heat treatment and see what the difference in hardness range is when heat treating a large 500 specimen batch in a vacuum furnace all together. You can run a study on how small differences in the same steel but different melts with slight chemistry varia...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Back to this today. I've more or less been rotating btw this, the 4v manix, the 10v pm2 and the k390 pm2 the last few weeks. Blade appears shinier than any of my REXs Yeah, I'm not a patina person. I like to keep 'em shiny. :D I thought you may have polished it somehow, but I guess it's probably my...

Re: Knives for fidgeters?

the best fidget knife is the one you have on you Ain't that the truth. Compression lock is probably the easiest one to fidget with, as it is the easiets to flick open and one hand drop closed. Lately, I have been fidgeting the Native 5. Opening, closing, switching hands, cutting unecesarily, tossin...

Re: St. Nick's 4v pm2!

Just currious; are the SNK red scales the same as the DLT ones? Forgot about this one. I was planning on getting one, but guess it wasn't that important. Same here Pete, middle of the day on a Saturday and we had great weather here, vs a rainy week ahead. I was busy outside. Was actually hoping to s...
