Re: Grail Acquired

That's a looker for sure. Didn't realize there was that version of the Manix. Wonder how you feel about the lack of jimping on the handle and the choil, compare to CBL Manix. I like it.

My favorite scale color.

Re: New member and Native Chief scales question

Hi all - new member here. I've owned a few Spydercos for a while now but finally joining the board. My current rotation is: M4 Manix XL, Rex45 Shaman, S110V PM2, Native 5 Salt, M390 Para3, FRN Chaparral My background is in welding/fabrication and quality engineering. As you can see, I like lockback...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2

First day I had the knife, definitely got a sore thumb from getting used to it, and playing with it way too much. Not the easiest lock bar to access, so it takes a bit of a push. And although useful for the traction, the jimping can chew up your thumb if you keep using it all day... unnecessarily. O...

For the Golden line, I'll take either G10 or FRN Native and the Native Chief.

Re: Native 6: expectations thread

I rounded out the corners on my FRN Native, inside and out, and it makes a big differentce in how it feels during use. Same with one of my PM2s. It really doesn't take much to notice a significant difference. I have yet to try it on my G10 Native. So yes, rounder corners. Other than that, different ...

Re: Shaman: Primal instincts?

Hi Julia, Do you know how much thinner it is %? I usually thin out most of my blades for personal use. We use good enough steels to handle it. Just as a bit of a tease; I mentioned earlier that there are two more versions based on th Shaman pattern. One is thinner stock and a lighter handle and the...

Re: Post your Spyderco collection in one picture!

Peter, what happened to all your PM2's!?! I know you had quite a few, and thought it was your favorite model. Hey Rick. Still have them. All eight. Still favorite. I guess I wanted this collection pic to be all unique models. Can't believe I have as many as I do. I like them all (wouldn't keep them...

Re: The sad realization that I cannot live without choils...

... I love most things about the Mantra 2, but the lack of a choil confuses my hand. Where does my index finger go? What about my thumb? I'm being dramatic, but there was a moment where I had to think about finger placement. ... Am I the only one passing on knives without choils? Does anyone else t...

Re: What's your favorite odd duck/black sheep model?

Different than anything else I normally use, that would be the Ikuchi. Carries suppler slim (all handle when closed), long cutting edge, front flipper that snaps open easy and quick, and a tip like no other. The wire clip was made for a knife like this. Perfect for formal events. For me, it is an id...

Re: Which Spydercos Are In Your EDC Rotation?

Don't mind the ash on the table, as my state is on fire... PM2 is almost always on me. It's just a matter of which model. Although 10V has been it for over a month, the K390 is my favorite - steel, color, action, the whole package. The Native 5 is my go to small knife. Since I have a few, it comes d...

Well, you can put it up for a poll. But I have a feeling it would end up being polarizing and divisive.

Boy, you must be talking about some precission cuts ;) How are there no pics here?! Amazing... (the pic)... I remember several pics here on this very forum that show the Natives clearly shorter edge (as it should be going by Spydercos own specs) I should have some comparison pics Delica / Native my...
