Re: So I want to try a Native.

I had a few. Great knife to gift. Currently, I have one LW and two linerless G10 models. I have never owned the G10 with liners. If I could only keep one, I'd take the G10. In use, actually cutting, to me there is no difference. I like the in-hand denser feel of the G10 model. I feel like I have a b...

Re: Post your Paramilitary 2s

This is a goddamn beautiful sight right here. I agree 💯!! It’s missing burnt orange! Otherwise I agree  Oh, and you’ve done a blade swap on the 52100 and BHQ M4. Where’s the CF-M4 child? Thanks guys! Can you tell which is my favorite :spyder: model :p In a way, I do wish I got the REX45. But ...

Re: Sun/Moon Chappy

I’ve been on this forum for years. Sal has never once struck me as a price gouger. He epitomizes the idea of “a decent product for a reasonable price.” If the Sun & Moon costs $70 more, than that’s because it simply costs more, proportionally, to make. By the way, in the Reveal this is made in Taiw...

Re: Reveal 4, What's your favorite release?

I already noted the two knives I am interested in. One thing I just noticed, and am curious as to why this is. Looking at the MSRP of the REX line. Specifically Manix LW and G10, vs Native LW and G10, both of which are made in Golden. First, both Natives are more expensive than the Manixes (Manixi?)...

Re: Reveal 4, What's your favorite release?

REX45 Chief! Finally!

REX45 Native! Question is which one; FRN or G10.

And what is this CPM SPY27 all about?

Re: Forum knife 2020 - model poll

G10 K390 Native 5. No forum name. FRN would be OK as well.

Of the list, I picked Shaman.

Got mine, along with a decal, shown here with a knife used for my submission, which didn't make the cut :)

Re: Best Edge Performance Steel between these choices?

My history with these steels is 3x Cruwear models, 2x K390 models, 1x Maxamet, 1x REX45. I have never performed any type of a controlled test that would allow to me to compare the edge properties. The only constant is using thin phone book paper. My conclusions are more along the lines of 'I feel li...

Re: Design details that are deal breakers

We all have different ideas of what a knife should be, what works for us. Our requirements differ, our hands are of different sizes, we use our knives for different things, in different ways and grips. But that's all good. There are lot of options out there, especially in the Spyderco lineup. Not ev...

Re: Philosophy of locks

I grew up with slipjoints; I was probably 8 when I got my first one. We spent a lot of time outdoors, so everyone had some kind of a knife. I didn't own a locking folder until I was 18? I own and use all four of the common locks used in Spyderco knives - liner/frame, compression, CBB, and back/mid. ...
