For me, fit and finish is very important. It shows pride in a fine product - the manufacturer went the extra mile to add that fine finish.

To me, Spyderco knives are the best the industry has to offer, but the fit & finish could be improved.

For example, my favorite Spyderco in the Bob Lum ...

The Bob Lum with the G-10 handles is my favorite Spyderco model!

What angle do you profile your blades at?

I use the Razor Edge system and diamond hones for most of my sharpening. If I get a little creative with placement of the guides, I can attain an angle in the area of 18 - 25 deg and that is what I use for all of my sharpening of my EDC's.

I can do almist as good job freehand, but I cannot achieve ...

New UnSharpened Manix

Received my new Manix today. I found the knife to be everything everyone here says it is except it came unsharpened.

I have many Spyderco knives in my collection, but have never found one to be unsharpened.

Has anyone else received a new Spyderco in an unsharpened state??

To Civilian:

I carry by Black Blade just about every day -I do not have even so much as a scratch in the black finish - even where I attached the Razor Edge Systems guide when I sharpened it!!
