Re: Manix 2 Lightweight CPM SPY27

It stings a bit that I waited a long time to pick this version up (the only LW Manix I currently own) only to have the screw together construction be announced a month later. I was considering grinding out the pins and adding screws/posts but can’t seem to find the right hardware.

Re: Brothers from another mother: Polestar & Manix 2

I wanted to like the Polestar so bad but the ergos just didn’t work for me. The area where the cutout for the hole is was uncomfortable in my hand. It is so deep that the handle ends up feeling too thin under stress. Loved the blade though…

Re: River's Edge PM2

I just received mine yesterday and will definitely be using it. I don’t care about the ridiculous inflated prices especially if they said they’re going to continue to produce this variant. This coating feels a lot like a DLC. I don’t have any concerns about it holding up to use. However, the distal ...

Any idea when these will be available? The ergos look great...canoe shaped handles have always felt right in my hands. Thanks for your efforts again Sal!

Re: About Spyderco's Stonewash...

Maxamet pretty much exist in its own world. Concerning the maxamet stonewash, Im not sure if other users have noticed this but its very unique. Basically if you look at a maxamet stonewashed blade up near the plunge line you can still see grind lines (vertical "satin" finish grind lines) ...

Re: My modified Manix 2 XL (Quarantine Project)

Great work and love those springs! Definitely look stronger than omegas. The only thing I’d suggest (if it doesn’t effect the functionality of the lock) is to grind and shape the remainder of the forward choil on the blade.

Apparently the yojimbo will have black liners. Sweet!
That’s great news...the uncoated liners on DLC models always bugged me a bit.

Yes, I can confirm the Brouwer clip placement definitely went through a CQI change.

When I was in the SFO this past November I directly compared both versions and in my opinion, the clip placement after CQI is definitely an improvement.
Thanks!

Brouwer Clip Placement - 2020 Catalog

I just noticed in the new catalog that it seems like the pocket clip placement has been adjusted to provide a deeper carry. However, it is only adjusted on the lock-bar side for right-hand carry which is a little curious (if the photo is accurate). If these images are accurate...I will finally get o...

Button compression lock sounds great but I’d also love to eventually see you guys do an “axis” lock since the patent has expired.

Re: Which steel has impressed you lately?

The BD1N in my Para 3 LW is an outstanding performer. I recently built a huge 12’ X 12’ counter, out of poplar, maple and some walnut, for a retail flooring store. I used that knife everyday I worked on the counter over several weeks, doing everything from scoring boards to cleaning up joinery. All ...

I just don’t get it...I remember preordering mine extremely early and would’ve bet the farm that I’d get one. Didn’t even look at other opportunities to get one cuz I felt so comfortable about it. Also passed on other models to budget this one. Super bummed right now...

Any of you Spyderfolk that have the RGT wire clip replacement: Is the hole in the underside on the end of the clip intended to be able to install a ball bearing like some other clips have? That's what it looked like the first time I saw one of these clips. It doesn't mention it on the website &...

Let’s at least get the lockback Lil Native in all black for now. After getting my hands on the St. Nick’s Exclusive, I’m dying for the lockback but really want something other than the plain black version.
