Re: Q-Ball resin printed ball cage

Nice work!! This knife was literally just sitting in it's box for the last 2 years, I'm glad you have given it a new life!! If it had come with a CBB I probably would not have sold it, but then again I only bought it because it had the exposed ceramic ball so...haha!

Re: REX 45 Para - snapped tip!

I'd appreciate any help as it wasn't cheap and it's really bugging me Is it an OCD thing? The knife has essentially the same utility and lifespan it had before and there are a lot of people who would love it just the way it is. :) Joe Call it whatever you want, but there is absolutely no way I woul...

Re: Elastic ceramic hopefully to mule and more.

Spontaneous idea: The Spyderco Dog Tag non locking folder in HIC elastic ceramic. Non locking makes it legal in I think most places all over the world. Thoughts? https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C188ALTIBBK/907 I think that is a good idea. Rust proof, lightweight, legal, easy to carry and e...

Re: Tool Steel Regular Production Folder Option

Just for clarificarion, do you see MagnaCut as an opponent to non-stainless tool steels, rather than a compliment/improvement to them? No not necessarily, more just an opponent for production space. I think that it will completely out sell any of the tool steels we are discussing right now. From th...

Re: LC200N Pac Salt SE on the way

I did the opposite and recently ordered a PE H1 Pacific 2. I wanted a stock PE H1 Salt to compare head to head against my LC200N version, to try and observe how much of an edge retention difference I can detect. Keep us posted, I would expect the PE retention difference to be significant. I have ne...

Re: LC200N Pac Salt SE on the way

Very nice choice! My 2 salt folders are both LC200N (Native SE & PacSalt SE) I feel like the SE are almost a requirement in marine environments. But I also don't spend a ton of time working in marine environments so...haha! I guess the SpydieChef is technically a Salt but I don't count it. I usually...

Re: Tool Steel Regular Production Folder Option

Honestly I would love, any of them as a regular option in a color other than black. 4V, K390, Rex45, M4, Cruwear/Z-Wear they are all good to go and would make great regular production knives. Someone's sprint or exclusive is going to lose some value, but that's just inevitable I guess. K390 or 4V wo...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Of the three: Swayback, Rex45 Chief and C20V Kapara, what do you love for each design ? I think that I've probably talked about all of them somewhere around here at different points. Swayback: Love the profile, the slender long wharncliffe blade gives excellent cutting power and a lot of length. It...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Very nice choices! I love all three as well!! I picked up the Swayback when G&R did their 30% off sale, got it for $200. It is great at any price, but mine is never going anywhere. Lucky you ! I have paid mine $356 !!! (300 euros here in France). Anyway the VAT are now applicable (1st of July 2021)...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

I like the design quite a lot and would love to try it, it just costs far too much for me. Go G10 or FRN so the price drops to ~$120 to $140 or so and I can justify trying it out. Could ask the same for the Nirvana or the Paysan... A FRN Paysan won't be that expensive after all. :-D Part of the cha...

Re: Spine/thumb jimping

Jimping is fine when done correctly but I don't like it when it's super aggressive. In general I'm pretty indifferent to jimping, if it's done right then it only adds to the design, and if the design is good and the jimping is not needed, that works just as well. My one big complaint about jimping i...

Striking out on finding some of the smaller knives that you guys have shown/mentioned! Those Lil Canadians are a decent size, I just don't know if I like the looks of them though. I just love all the different handle materials available on these knives! L.T. Wright makes some Canadian-style blades ...

I was just about to start my freshman year in high school by moving from Texas to Oklahoma...wow, what a time warp. It was 2 years before I knew what Spyderco was, and 3 years before receiving a Benchmade mini-grip as a gift.
