Re: Is there a reason why this one screw on the Delica 4 doesn't come fully tightened?

Are you talking about the lockbar pivot screw? Over tightening it can cause drag on the lockbar which, in turn, can make the knife difficult to open and close or the lock to not fully engage.

Oh yea. But the thing is I can tighten it as much as possible and still don't experience any problem with ...

Is there a reason why this one screw on the Delica 4 doesn't come fully tightened?

I have handled four new Delicas all from different batches and noticed that the small scale screw that's right below the pivot always doesn't come fully tightened. It's actually quite loose.

Is there a reason for this? I am pretty sure it's intentional and not a fit and finish error.

I noticed ...

Re: All this "blurple" nonsense..

God that blur on the blade finish would really bother me and I would definitely return it. It looks like some machine rubbed on the blade at the wrong spot. I doubt a buffing compound is gonna take that away and even if it does, it's not gonna have a even satin finish.

When I am buying a knife ...

"Para Military 2 Production Deviation

It’s no secret that the Para Military 2 is one of Spyderco’s most popular and in-demand products. Since its introduction in 2010, we have worked extremely hard to increase our production of it and, particularly since ...

Re: What does a knife mean to you?

As I read through the different posts in this forum, I see a common thread, a sense of camaraderie that we all share. I am just curious if a knife is a simple tool or if it carries a deeper meaning for you.
A knife for me represents a tool which bridges the gap of man and nature, allowing us to ...

What's up with the terrible quality control on the Delica 4s?

I ordered a Delica 4 FFG orange on Amazon a few weeks ago. It arrived and I found machine marks on the spine of the blade so I returned it. Instead of betting on the next one I order to have good fit & finish, I just ordered three. I planned on returning the other two.

They arrived a few days later ...

I didn't even know that this was coming out. Can you preorder it?

I don't think Spyderco has officially revealed it yet. Sal has posted a couple of times on forums about a year ago that they were working on it and had plans to release it soon. And apparently they showcased a prototype version of ...

Re: paramilitary 3

I am really looking forward to the PM 3 as well. I have three Delicas and am currently looking to expand my EDC collection. While I would love to purchase the PM2, it's a bit too big for EDC and I am not a fan of buying knives that I won't use frequently. I always thought a smaller PM2 would be ...
