Spyderco Survival knife?

I have been extremely happy with the Spyderco brand, and was wondering if there have been any previous models that would be a great survival knife? I have checked the current catalogue and googled previous models but cannot find anything to suit my needs. The closest I have found is either the Tempe...

Re: H1 Steel Differential Hardness: What is the Molecular Mechanism?

Sorry SpyderEdgeForever, I have absolutely no idea.. I am interested in reading any replies though. I would like to know more about the work hardening properties of H1. I have a Ladybug H1 serrated which is an awesome little EDC knife. It is far to small for many tasks but fine for what I need EDC t...

Re: Super Steels with serrations?

Is it possible to have a Spyderco straight edge reground with Spyder Edge? I'd imagine it wouldn't be cheap, but wondering if it is possible? I have the H1 Rock Salt. Nice knife, feels great in the hand but really isn't that sharp for a Spyderco... When I got it new it could only just slice paper ,...

Re: S110v vs M390 pm2

I have been using an Urban lately, it doesn't have a locking blade, but does everything I need it to at work and around the house and the standard version of it is about $50, the premium one $65. I'd like to add a comment here, which I acknowledge some may disagree with... If your local laws allow ...

Re: Another Military Thread

Hello, I have been umm'ing and arrh'ing about the military since I got a PM2. If i was a billionairre I would buy one of each style/metal, but alas, I am not that fortunate. So many members rave about this metal or that metal. I have the PM2 in S110v, so if I were to get a Military I would seek a di...

Re: Definite purchases out of the new releases?

I don't know if this would be classified as a new release as I only heard about it from the awesome post/photos of the Amsterdam meet... but when it's available, without a doubt, the Chaparral Raffir Brass Mesh, if cost is OK considering AUD/USD conversion and shipping.

Re: the one that started it all (for me)

H1 Ladybug. I was really impressed with the steel/performance, the locking mechanism for such a small knife, its ergonomics etc. Prior to Spyderco, the best non-kitchen knife I had was a Leatherman in 154cm. I absolutely LOVED that leatherman (previous knives we cheap $20 options or swiss army pocke...

Advertisement picture idea plus add-on product for Rocksalt?

Hello Forum friends, I apologise I haven't been active on this forum for a while... I view every few days from work but don't login or post from work. Anyway, over the last couple of months I had an idea for a cool Spyderco picture for advertisements and also a simple(?) add-on product to suit the R...

Vallotton Sub Hilt with dual action. I have the standard (PM2 is my fav that I own) but would be cool to have the model with the automated action.

Re: Let's See Your Knife Storage Systems.

Soooo jealous....

I only have a few knives and they just sit in a drawer in my bedroom with some watches and cufflinks. Each day I just grab the one I want to carry (usually the Ladybug Salt due to its size compared to my other Spydies)

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes

hey guys, i'm about to pick up a spyderco c36 military model in s110V Purple via ebay from outfitter country. your recent discussions about fakes from their store concern me a bit. a handful friends of mine bought knives from outfittercountry and these knives all seem genuine. any concerns about bu...
