Best place to buy 2nd hand
So I’m wondering where the best places are to buy spidies 2nd hand? I stepped away from the knife world for a year or so and upon returning I found the CS exclusive native 5 in orange and black and it’s exactly what I’ve been wanting for a long time...... and of course they sold out about a month or...

Lanyard
So after some good advice from the fine folks here I have decided to purchase my little sister some pepper spray for SD and a knife for general use and to explain to her the difference. I have seen some of these cool little bead lanyards just a couple inches long made from para cord. Just wondered w...

This has my interest. Wondering how it would do in a purse or something. She hates wearing things around her neck.dsvirsky wrote:If you're looking for a self defense knife, why not a knife designed for that specific purpose? My recommendation would be a serrated ARK.

Re: Need opinion on a Christmas gift for a young lady
If the lucky lady likes the colour yellow then maybe a SE Dragonfly 2 Salt? And... some range time with an FN Five-seveN ;) Handed her my g19 with a red dot on thanksgiving. First 8 shots were center flapper on my steel torso target from 15 yards. I’d say she can handle her self with a pistol. It’s...

Re: Need opinion on a Christmas gift for a young lady
So after some more research today I’m think more along the lines of an assisted opener. Something like the Kershaw Leek. (I know I know. Spyderco forum). Something that is a little easier for her to open quickly. As well as getting her some pepper spray on her key chain and under the desk at work. M...

Re: Need opinion on a Christmas gift for a young lady
Chaparral lightweight. wire clip is very women's clothes friendly. Well I can see I’ve been gone for a while!!!! THEY FINALLY DID IT!!!! Ugh. This is gonna cost me. Luckily my wife likes my chappy so if I buy the new one it can be her’s until I can pry it away from her. I am leaning towards the cha...

Hey everyone. Long time no see. Sorry I’ve been away for a while as life has gotten busy and my current knife selection serves me well so I have not been in the market. But now the need has arose again. Mt sister is 21 and recently got a new job. She is a tiny little thing and is working alone some ...

Re: That dreaded sound
Cf chaparral. Actually looks like she came out ok. Luckily it was actually clipped to the pocket and stayed put so she had some cushioning and there were plenty of other clothes in there. As far as me checking the pockets, yes your right, but the rule here is that we BOTH check, that way someone cat...

Pro sharpening needed
So I'm still new to this knife thing. I recently purchased a s30v chaparral second hand from BF. The knife is in super nice shape but I don't like the sharpening job. Guy I bought it from said he never sharpened it but the owner before him might have. So anywho, I want this thing razor sharp and I w...

Re: Was the original Spyderco Native flawed in any way?
The original native to me is not as comfortable. The jimping on the top is sharp and the choil on the bottom is smaller and does not fit my finger well.
The native 5 however is awesome. Fits me perfectly.

Shipping to France
So I'm selling my first spidie and lo and behold it's going to France!!!
Shipping seems straight forward but I just wanted to hear from others that have shipped to France and make sure there was nothing I needed to be aware of.
Making someone's day with a rare native!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Need help cleaning
Will work on it asap. Thanks for the tips.
What lube should I use?
I'm a gun guy. I have Rem oil and I also have Lucas red oil but that's about it.
Anything I can get locally that will work well? Something like one of those little zoom spout oilers?
