All of my Spydercos are "stolen." The quality is so high, the price so good, it's like getting a Porsche GT2 for the price of a Honda Civic.

I was under the impression that the serrations on the Delica come out of the factory at more acute than 30 degrees. Is this not the case?

Sharpening technique breaking down serrations?

Hello all. I have a question related to sharpening my Spyderedge Delica. I have been using the Sharpmaker to sharpen it, and on looking closely at the serrations, it looks like some of the scallops have developed small pits or chips (I don't do any rough cutting, just cardboard, paper, that sort of ...

The S30V steel is made in Colorado, while VG10 and H1 come from Japan, so it stands to reason that the serrations would be slightly different. Also, the serrations on my D'Allara rescue seem deeper than the ones on my Endura 4. I'm not 100% sure on this one though, and my E4 is out of commission so ...

Interesting that you mention the Japanese/Chinese "recognition of the sacredness of human life". The Japanese, in WWII, so loved human life that they tortured and murdered prisoners of war, forcing them to work until they collapsed, and then bayoneting them. Often beheading others. Perfor...

From the pictures on their website, that store is almost cool enough to make a daytrip to SF.

A "warrior" in its classic sense (as used on this forum by some real warriors) is someone who engages his adversary on on equal basis. In the Chinese and Japanese traditions, this includes such things as the recognition of the sacredness of human life, avoidance of civilian casualties, and...

I have thought for some time now that there is a striking similarity between Fenix lights and Spyderco knives: When I was shopping for a knife, I didn't want a knife that was made a certain way for the looks ("Tractors don't have to look like Ferraris," says Sal). I found a good knife in ...

Ah, but some things, like digital cameras, knives, flashlights, tool sets and car parts are exempt from this rule. These things can and should be researched endlessly.

New Spyders; very impressed

Okay, so for the most part, I've sat back and looked at all you people who drop 100s of dollars at once on knives and said to myself, "That'll never be me." I own several Spydercos but never really gotten into the serious buying. The other day I received a package which will probably be th...

doc Snubnose mentioned Chinese herbs. Herbs can be helpful, but I would look into vitamin D first. A shocking number of people are deficient in this essential nutrient, and since babies generally don't spend much time in the sun this is a real avenue to explore. Read up at the vitamin D council: htt...

Oh yeah, the smell of VG10 and FRN in the morning... Since I have almost no ability to smell(never had), I guess I must be missing something  :( You might want to look into supplementing with zinc. A lot of times impaired taste and smell can be greatly corrected this way. Could be your bod...

Gotta love Eddie Bauer outlet

I've never understood how women can shop endlessly for clothes, shoes, and the like. Being a man I like to get in, accomplish my task and get out. Just went to the EB outlet; spent 1.5 hours and $350 and it'll last me for a year. Boo yeah!

Got $260 in Spyderco stuff coming. Scorpius SE, Endura Wave, Ladybug 3 SE and 3 large 'tribal' t-shirts. The design on those things is awesome.

I am considering buying a Fatboy but would first like some more information from those that own it along with other Maxpedition products. http://www.1sks.com/images/maxpedition/max-fatboy-kh.jpg Judging from this picture, there is an area for adding expansion pouches just below the keyper ring. What...

I considered buying a lithium-powered SureFire recently but found out that the light modules burn out rather rapidly, perhaps as quickly as 3-4 battery changes. Is this true? In any case, I decided that my main criteria was high portability factor. Better to have a smalligh light on your person at a...
