Anyone know of a place that still has salt knives with uncoated hardware? Thinking of picking up a ladybug hawkbill in se but hate the look of the black coated hardware. I’ve been surprised in the past where the photo online shows uncoated hardware and the knife arrives with the blacked out bits.

Maybe don't worry about the clip being backwards compatible and make it a CQI-ish type thing. Treat it like a Dragonfly with the wire clip and have the slots in the frn. That way it's a leave it on or take it off situation. Just a thought.

Dragonfly Salt serrated is my all time favorite knife. I've had and sold a few over the years and recently went back to one. Going on 2 months straight of waistband carry everyday whether at work, trail running, or just knocking around the house. Only dedicated knife I own.

I don't know what the benefit is of NOT having the Boye dent. At this point I've pretty much realized that I'm a back lock guy and in that back lock I want the dent!

Rit Dye is your friend. Super easy and fast. I dyed another H1 Dragonfly to black this evening.

I've never handled a Chaparral but always wanted to. I'm a Dragonfly guy thus far as that's really the only Spydie that has stuck around for a significant period of time. These comparison photos are top notch by the way. Great post!
