Re: Tax day MAP sale!

Does anyone know why my Chicago Knife Works knife is shipping from Marion, VA? Are they a legit store or are they shipping from some sort of Amazon mass drop type of warehouse? TIA.

FWIW, It looks as though Chicago Knife Works is still listing their Spyderco sale prices.

Thank you for the heads up. I missed their deal on the wharncliffe Lil Native yesterday and I was still able to pick one up for $121 today. I appreciate it.

Re: My First Bento Box Shop Experience

That's a nice grab on the knife. I think their most recent batch of K390 PM2s will be slow to sell out but when they are gone I think a lot of people will be sorry that they missed out. I don't carry a PM2 much but I have this model and it has some of the finest action of any of my Spydies and as yo...

Probably the Delica or Endura but, to me personally, the quintessential Spyderco is the C36 Military Model.
I agree with this 100% but there are some excellent observations concerning the Police and OG Stretch in this thread.

I think we need a sprint of an SE Stretch 1. I believe that it’s one of the best slicing Spydies that I’ve owned. That SE Sage is a work if art though!

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

BladeHQ has Enduras in M4 for 79.99. Not sure how long it will last but picked one up to try out. M4 will be a new for me, and excited to see how it performs. M4 and 52100 are my two favorite Spyderco steels. I think that you will enjoy the edge retention of M4 but it does require light maintenance.

It’s the Knifeworks S90V Military for me. Nothing else is even close.

Re: Cricket Lightweight

I have been asking for a revamped Cricket LW for quite a while but I didn’t think that it would happen. Including friends and family, it would be a multiple buy knife for me if Sal were to put his magic touch to any new version that’s also SE.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

Wasn't worth $300 back then, not worth $450 now I agree. I passed on the SB when they were originally for sale. Not interested now. I have plenty of other Ti framelock knives that make me happy. However, the SB apparently makes a lot of other people happy. Obviously, based on this latest run, it's ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I saw vivi's post about not many people carrying Military 1s on this thread so I wanted to give a shout out to the 52100 Military that I am carrying today. I don't really post pics but it is in my pocket for more days than not and I couldn't be happier. I can keep it both razor sharp or hone it to a...

I like the idea in theory but given manufacturing costs and recent price increases it doesn’t seem like something that I could afford to buy.

Very interesting discussion, and yes, I've been following it, and will participate. We don't like the high prices either and we're always considering the paths to take. I guess I should begin with China. I usually avoid politics in this forum, and I appreciate that we've been good about that, but a...

Yeah. I will likely buy one to try the steel but I find burnt orange particularly awful as well.

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?

I have essentially no public knife laws where I live, carry and use are based on public perception. I will carry a large knife and I will use whatever blade size I need for the job but I won’t go brandishing a Military in public without an obvious need for that size of knife. I am very aware if some...

Re: River's Edge PM2

Been gone awhile and just started to get back into my knife collecting and have been learning/narrowing it donw to the PM2 as I have never owned one. I wish I would have started back into the spydies a few months ago, I would have jumped on one of these as well. Been looking at them on Ebay and try...

I swore off buying anymore Spydies when they introduced MAP pricing and after every price increase in between. It hasn’t worked out so well for me.
