Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

I appreciate the look inside the knife. It really is well made. My opinion about the knife has evolved. I used mine in the garden and flower beds yesterday to gather some tomatoes, vegetables and general gardening tasks. It worked great and it is a great slicer. The tip removes the vegetables cleanl...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

I received mine and I am not really impressed. Opening it with one hand using the Spydie hole is absolutely impossible for me. The hole is small, really small compared to the knife and the action is extremely stiff. It is only two handed opening and I have tried various techniques. The design is coo...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Having bought this to add to all the Spyderco Slysz knives, including the Bowie, I am also underwhelmed by the Swayback especially for the clip which looked to be an after-design thought. If you’re a Slysz fan and have the other models, add this to round out your set and ride the Slysz price apprec...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

You have buyers remorse from one less than positive comment but the other few pages of praise don’t matter? This is meant to be a gentleman’s (and ladies) fine folder - think along the lines of the Centofante Memory - thin, stylish, small round hole, and a wonderful thin slicey blade. I’m 6’4” with...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Thanks for the heads up. I had been on the fence but thanks to this thread and your post I snagged one from NK. I have always had great service from them and I like to support them. I am really looking forward to this one now. Liquid Cobra's pics really nailed me. It just looks like a great design a...

Military because it is my favorite knife design of any maker and you can pretty much pick your flavor of steel. Dragonfly because of its cutting power and friendly design on the opposite end of the size scale. GB1 because it is the toughest folder that I own and my second favorite knife of any that ...

Re: I'm falling out of love with the Compression Lock

I am not a fan of the comp lock. I prefer the back lock, CBBL, and Spyderco's liner lock, especially the RIL, all to the comp lock.

Question about ZDP189

I have been a fan of ZDP for years and I am wondering what recent steel that it most closely resembles? I read Larrin's article about it but it still left me slightly confused. Do some now consider it an inferior steeI? I am really not very good at sharpening but despite the general consensus of dif...

Re: PRICING

I bought a Siren, I think that it's a great value, and I thoroughly enjoy it. Corrosion resistance isn't at the top of my needs but the steel combined with the overall design is a pleasure to use for a multitude of outdoor tasks. My main wish at this point is that it would come in a SE version event...

Re: Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight Knife, Limited S30V with Yellow and Green Zome FRN, SP-C11ZFPYL

I might be 3 years too late, but is this version ever going to come back, or is available somewhere? These guys show both the Yellow/Green and the Pink/ Purple Zome Delica in stock. I have never ordered from them so I don't know anything about their reliability though. Edit: Link deleted. Scam site.
