Re: Manix 2 XL Love?

I think that it is proven that FRN is as tough as knife scale material gets but it still just seems wrong and counter-intuitive to me for a knife this size. That doesn't mean that a LW version wouldn't make a great knife. I would probably buy one. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around it.

As always let me say: An frn lightweight version would make me buy my first "XL" for sure.
FRN just seems wrong for a knife that's meant to be oversized and bad#ss.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Or the fact that Sal himself said no dealers have them yet. Only the collectors and premiers. This thread is an absolute mess. So many people in a panic, misinformation flying around everywhere. It's a knife guys, it's not life or death. Settle down. This has become the most annoying thread I've ev...

Re: Cruwear Shaman ALERT THREAD

Over on BladeForums, Sal said: They are not shipping yet. We have only shipped to collectors and Premieres. sal Just as an FYI. Makes me think the DLT cart opening up earlier was perhaps a glitch? Hope so. I buy most of my knives from DLT because they do not charge tax to my state. I have refreshed...

My understanding is that some dealers got small shipments (<10 knives) early as part of the premier program.
You could repeat this 500 times and still nobody will listen :D
Well, that would be 500 more knives that nobody could buy.

I am heading to an early afternoon at Lazy Circles Brewing in my hometown. I agree with 'D' though and others. I am part of the gibberish and I stopped watching this thread.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Alright, real talk time: who here is planning on using this knife as an honest to God user? I REALLY want one of these as a work knife, but between all the collectors and flippers out there, I feel like I'm a tiny minority. I'm pretty satisfied with my Hogue Ritter in M390, but I hate the disassemb...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

I see it as proof that folks have had it with the flippers. I know it will be tough, but if people could resist the urge to pay these exorbitant prices, the flippers would wither away and die off. A few extra bucks for shipping, etc. is one thing, but an extra $100 is just pure bull. :rolleye...

I bought one from a great guy on this board off BF to hedge against the Cru-Shaman. I am glad that I did. Golden absolutely killed the...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Y'all new to sprint runs or what? I likely was buying Spydies before you were born, so no, I am not new to sprint runs. I am new to the lack of availability of a legitimate source to buy a knife a week after the company issues a statement that they have shipped. That would be easy to find out. She'...

Spyderco, as a Company, messed this up. I think that is pretty clear. As a fan, I hope that they figure it out.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

I like the small-ish size of sprint runs. It makes them special. Does it encourage flippers - yes, but does it help your *collectable* hold value - also yes. If sprints become EASY to get they will lose much of what makes them fun. Of course certain great steels like cru-wear should have some produ...

There was no limit to just 1 but it looks like ten people grabbed 1 apiece. Glad no flippers saw it.
Couldn't help but chuckle. The whole model is a flipper's dream.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

If you are Spyderco those hundreds or thousands of PM2s that are sitting around for consumers are paid for and money in the bank. It doesn't affect them at all. I am not disagreeing just saying.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

You would think that whatever company Moteng has become would be all over this since they do most of the Earth Brown scales. They are pushing out the M2 with M390, it would be cool to see the same treatment for the Shaman. I realize that it's not Cruwear but it would be a lot easier to buy.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

I pre-ordered and paid in full from an online shop, but now the product has been pulled entirely from the site. Why do we have to constantly jump through hoops just to buy a product we said we would buy in the first place? Cru-wear is ever popular, but all we get are short run exclusives or sprints...
