Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
As soon as the logged in deals disappeared at National Knives I assumed something like this happened. My longtime Spyderco fandom takes another blow.

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
I own several of the ethnic series line that were designed by Ed and they are all superb in design and quality. Ed is a brilliant interpreter of blades.

Re: white frn?
I am really surprised that the GPK Urban is still available. It’s a great little knife with excellent steel and is less than $100.

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
Even if I complain and cringe on this forum, and when I push the ‘buy’ button, it is pretty unlikely that I will miss out on the REX121 Chap. Ultimately, I personally don’t know of another company that has the kind of access to the owner like this forum. Sal takes some pretty good shots and stays ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
Pretty much every year since MAP started I have considered whether Spyderco was really a value when comparing performance vs cost. Often the answer was still ‘yes’, but the costs keep going up while their quality control has declined. I have been a fan of Spyderco for three decades or so but I ...

Re: C'Mon Folks, cheer on the Button Up
Bearings in the pivot are a hard stop for me as well. It’s way too easy to foul the pivot in real use.
Can that be remedied by the knife user without full disassembly or not?
Not to be flippant but that depends on the amount and type of gunk. There is a lot of sandy red clay where I ...

I am guessing that you are walking a very fine proprietary legal line if you try to pull that off.
I will be curious to see how some of the legal types on the board respond.

Re: 2025 Black Friday map holiday
The most recent MAP holiday excluded the two previous Reveals and seemed pretty flat. I’m hoping for deeper discounts and fewer restrictions if we do get a Black Friday sale. There are a couple of models that I would at least check out if they weren’t so pricey.

Re: What is your favorite Spyderco collaboration knife?
It’s the GB1 for me and nothing else is close. It has proven to be a tank of a knife.
After I saw the Gayle Bradley's video explaining his design choices for the original GB folder, I simply had to start looking for one. It took me a good bit of time, but I have one coming in the mail that's ...

Re: JB Outman
Has anyone seen one of these in the wild? The reviews regularly mention that the Micarta looks more red than orange in person. Can anybody verify this? Red actually sounds more interesting to me than orange. On a separate side note, these sure have been around a while for a Shaman Exclusive and the ...

Re: Native Chief User Stories?
I have 3 Native Chiefs right now in REX45, M390, and I recently picked up a Crucarta version. I don’t have any hard use stories and it took me a while to catch on but I have been surprised how much more pocket time a Native Chief is seeing over my new Magnacut and 15v Military. If I were to choose ...

NK is one of my go to shops but they have never been on the authorized dealers list. I don’t know what the criteria for being an authorized dealer is but this has come up before and Kristi has explained it.

Re: China
I have no particular loyalty to US made knives but I do believe that having so many Spyderco knives made in China cheapens Spyderco’s image. Gas stations and cheap online stores are full of cheap Chinese made knives while quality and performance defines Spyderco to me. I have no idea how prices and ...
