Re: The Future of the Para 2? I'm sort of worried

Discontinuing the PM2 would be just as silly as discontinuing the Slysz Bowi... wait. Oh no! :D

I would be *shocked* if they did anything to the PM2. It's an icon.

Re: H1 SE Tatanka LW Salt Anyone???

I'm curious: Now that LC200N is a thing in the Salt line, and has been shown to be basically rustproof, with substantially better edge-holding, why would you ask for H1 here? My current feeling is that I, for one, welcome our LC200N overlords, and I hope quite strongly that it comes to replace H1 th...

Hah, very nice! I'm glad to see these kinds of videos being made by the makers themselves. I'll probably still make my own, for tradition's sake, but it's great to see!

I realize this is a little silly, but a Waterway in M4 and Jade G10 would be awesome IMHO. Just saying :)
In M4, we'd have to call it the Desertway.

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

I just did a bit of bending myself, inspired by BWUnger, and it's definitely better. Having more room under the clip definitely helps, both in the pocket and in the hand.

Does Spyderco ever acknowledge when items are discontinued? Or do they just let them quietly die?

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

Speculation and I’m no engineer but it might be that on a knife with washers there isnt much machining needed on the inside of the scale. All the machining is on the outside so it’s all done at once. This knife has extensive internal milling. I have trouble believing that could be the issue here.

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

I don't know that the clip tension makes it quite so dire on mine, but I agree, the clip is definitely the biggest downside here. I'm wondering if some creative re-bending might be able to make it a bit more usable, particularly giving it a bit more height in the back.

Re: Payson= PAY:SON

Having handled a prototype, I'm quite excited about this one. If the production build quality matches the prototype, this will meet (or exceed) the offerings from other companies at similar price points. "A knife should not cost more than X" is an argument you can make, although it's your personal o...

Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?

The thicker blade is the main distinction. But I think between the Para3LW and the FRN Chapparal, we now have specialists to either side of the Delica, one for harder work, one for slicing. But I suspect for many, particularly who desire USA-made and enjoy sprints, the P3LW will be a really compelli...

Re: price increase?!

Will there be any specific targeted price increases or decreases (e.g. the Shaman getting more expensive in 2018 beyond the MAP and other price hikes affecting all models)? Or is this affecting all models equally and in the same direction? Also, will previously announced models (e.g. the Paysan, Dru...

The Slysz Bowie. Only been a year but it deserves a rewind.
Maybe with M390/204P/S90V and a nice carbon fiber backspacer? Please, PLEASE. Cash in on the silly prices they're going for on the secondary market.

Also, Shaman.

Wire clip, jimped finger choil, S35VN or LC200N, metal pin in the FRN that holds the backspacer's lower tongue in position (for ease of disassembly), made in the USA or Taichung (for value and f&f).

Re: The Spyderrazor

I would absolutely pick up a Spyderrazor, either with conventional scales or in fixed-blade Kamisori style (particularly if that opened it up to easier sprints). Maybe I'm overestimating what modern metallurgy can do for straight razors, but as a guy with some pretty aggressive facial hair who tends...
