Got my PM2 Maxamet in EU today. Perfect example. Besides second's notch I can't find any flaws. Thanks Spyderco!
P.S. second one ordered is still in US going from one post to another. Hope to see it someday
That open post PM2 with maxamet blade wrap is bad. Hope my 2 PM2 will not look like that. Those blades should be destroyed. *Edited for family friendliness. That open post PM2 with maxamet blade wrap is bad as f****. Hope my 2 PM2 will not look like that. Those blades should be destroyed. You are getting a $217 knife for $79. What do you expect? As long as they are safe to use these blades are fine for seconds. People like myself will buy them for beat...
If you are looking for good rust resistance and good edge retention you should look to CPM S110V steel. Maxamet is not rust resistant steel and needs some maintenance.
Just got mine. Never thought that I will like small knife like this. Perfect ergonomics for my hands, ground very thin behind the edge and wanted to try analog of CPM 10V steel. Very happy about this purchase. Best 50€ spent!
One of the best Spyderco's knives! Very good big EDC folder. Light, simple and with super steel. In fact it so good that I bought custom mini K2 version.
I am very impressed with CPM 10V. It cuts cuts and cuts. Also very important thing is knife geometry and thickness behind the edge than steel itself, but when these factors meets each other it's the best combination. Love that knife!
