Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

Why not both? A reasonably priced model, perhaps with a special steel or handle color, made in Golden, with a “5Oth” marking. It’s made for the entire year, and only that year. And then, the special sprint run collector’s edition, made with Sal and Eric at the height of their powers, with the choice...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report

I’m in for a Charisma. I love the design and I’m the target use case. Hopefully they keep it as reasonably priced as they say, and it doesn’t get what happened to the Reinhold Rhino, which got, granted, better steel and handle scales and Taichung quality, but increased in price by a LOT.

Re: Spymyto is hot!

So… any idea when this will arrive? I’d thought the purpose of Reveals was that knives shown in them were within 3 months of shipping. Did something happen? I’m really looking forward to this knife and don’t want to miss out. It’ll be my first flipper, first Lionsteel, first deep carry, and I don’t ...

Picked up a Wharnie Delica. My first wharnie and amazingly, my first Delica. My first Spyderco was an Endura 30 years ago.

They made the Ramco Laguiole, that’s the perfect Spyderco for steak, if you can find one.

Re: Mystery Spyderco sighting

Yep, Benchmade licensed the Round Hole from Spyderco at that time. My partially serrated AFCK from that time period also has Spyderco’s serration pattern. Honestly, to look at it, it looks like a Sal/Eric design, certainly there’s never been a Benchmade that looks like it since.

Well, here’s some pics. Please note my Brouwer is a factory second… not sure why, looks perfect to me… but in case it’s not all it could be in terms of finishing.

Reminds me of a jumping spider’s “mustache.”

Re: 2022 P.I.T.S Sprint!

Gotta chime in. I have a Cat, a Brouwer, a Rhino, and a Chaparral Sun and Moon. Love them all. I’ve only ever carried this knife since I’ve gotten it. Perfect ergos, light weight, excellent blade shape, and no-fuss one-handed closure. Like others have said: get this while you can, it’s bloody amazing.

Got mine. Snaps open and closes securely. Blade is centered. This one’s a keeper!

I’m late to this, and it’s probably not inside Spyderco’s wheelhouse, but I’d love to see a daisho (katana/wakizashi set) from you.

Gotta say, this thread has been interesting. I’ve learned something about Spyderco collabs and how they get to my hand, so thanks Sal and Xplorer for communicating here.

I’m saving now for a Spy-Piute. It’ll be GORGEOUS.

Re: Seconds sale

The Brouwer and Chap Sun and Moon that Yablanowitz proxied for me are, to my untrained eye, perfect. Dunno why they were seconded, but I’m grateful that they were. Absolutely great little knives, and the Chap is a freaking laser cutter. Thank you again Yablanowitz!

I, too, would appreciate a proxy buyer - I’m only interested in a couple SKUs.
