Re: Red loctite

Like cabfrank said, $20 if they have to drill, $5 if they can remove by hand. I had a Para 3 that one of the screws stripped to the point it was impossible to remove by hand. I managed to get it out by putting the tightest fitting wiha bit in a cordless driver. The sudden torque was enough to break ...

Re: The officially unofficial new Techno 2 thread!

Seemed like a winner until I saw the ugly clip and too low positioning. Total downgrade from the wire clip. Edit: Am I mistaken on the clip? I thought I saw a comparison of the 1 and 2 with the 2 having an hourglass clip... Sounds like you're thinking of the Marcin Slysz Mouse Gen2 Custom model, wh...

Re: Production Cruwear

I use my sprints. Knives are made to be used, but due to the rarity, I worry about breaking them and not having a replacement.

Re: Production Cruwear

Paramilitary 2 in Cruwear was around $144 at the time. I don't think that was too much more than S30V at the time - maybe $15-20 more.

Production Cruwear

I can't be the only person who wants every knife in Cruwear (a Sage in Cruwear?? My dream). I don't know if people are hesitant to buy it because it isn't a true stainless, but it checks every single box for me. Tough, easily sharpened, takes a laser edge, extremely stainless for me. I have the PM2 ...

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

Thanks, Michael. I'll admit I've been a naysayer since they announced the upgraded version, and while im still on the fence, it really has turned out beautifully.

I really like how the swoop of the top of the blade appears to blend with the curve of the handle when closed.

Any pics of it in hand? Like to see how it grips in different positions.

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

1) when closed, the blade kick is in the compression lock cut-out. This means that if your finger stays on the compression lock while closing, the blade may bounce off your finger and not fully close? I've had this concern since seeing the original Spyderco G10 prototype. The lock cutout is crowded...

Re: Para 3 sprint has dropped!

I'm going to be the first to posit that there's some CQI on this puppy. That little overhang on the lock cutout is rounded off on the Cruwear compared to being square and sharp as **** on the regular Para 3.

Re: Anyone carry a PM2 that wears a suit?

As someone who dresses up and carries a knife every day, having a clip hanging out of your pocket looks tacky. I go with a Sage 1 most days because a smoother CF is the way to go in slacks

Re: Been carrying my Cat, again.

Great big-little knife for office carry. Only thing that bugs me is the liner lock pushes the blade way off center when closed. My ocd is not having any of that.

On a pistachio related note, you can use an empty shell to pry open the shells that have red loctite in them. Works every time.

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

I know it's jumping the gun, but that level of upgrades has to be in the ballpark of $120. That takes it from a must have to an I don't think so. I hope I'm totally wrong, but the main selling point for me was a cool new design coupled with a low price.
