I wonder if it will be in the $169 range or less than that... The Native 5 LW S110V is $3 less than the Manix 2 LW S110V. So I would think the Native 5 LW Maxamet should be a little less than the Manix 2 LW Maxamet at $162. I'd like to have one of these but it's not likely I'll buy one considering ...

I was tempted to wait and see if a Maxamet version was to be released, but after seeing the bump in price for the Manix 2 in Maxamet, I descided that S110V was "good enough" for EDC . Plus, I don't own any S110V, but I do have the Maxamet Mule Team (love it by the way).

Wow! That fluted ti version is eye-popping, and I've always loved carbon fiber, even though I prefer G10 on most of my folders..... Yikes! I gotta stay off these forums! LOL

After seeing your results, I ordered one without hesitation. When mine arrives, I will perform my own extensive test by slicing up 2 sheets of notebook paper. :D

So, considering this is a non-stainless steel, should we force patina (boil it in vinegar, etc.) from the get-go? What's the consensus?
