Re: Slym In Stock

I've been in need of a titanium integral handled folder. I used to have a Nirvana, but I sold it. The bead blast finish on the blade drove me crazy.
I also had BM Anthem, sold it off too because the grind kinda sucked.
I was looking at the Chaves integrals recently, but opted to see how this Slym ...

Re: Slym In Stock

I once had a SpyOpera, my only example of an Italian Spydie. It had some major side play when blade was closed and it drove me nuts; I had to sell it.
Does the Slym have any side play when closed? And how is the blade centering?

Re: Have you ever sold a Spyderco, regretted it and bought a replacement later on

I've put myself through this situation multiple times. The Baby Jess Horn was sold when I thought I didn't like it. Years go by, I start to miss my BJH and eventually I find some in stock at Hand-tools. It is an excellent source of old NIB models that have just been hanging around, waiting to be ...

Aloha Sal, hope you're enjoying Kauai and the infinite chicken population. Check out the Waimea canyon if you can; Hanalei is another must see on that island.
This Kapara sounds good to me, will consider picking one up when I find out the price.

Re: What "others" are in the mail?

Something I have desired for a few years but could never find until the other day: full size Demko AD20 in 3v and clip point. Not the slim, thin blade, but the thicc boi. I tried the 20.5 but it just felt too small for me (small for a Demko)
Should arrive on Friday.

Re: Barong Sprint

Please bring it back; it was around before my time as a Spyderco fan. I'm Filipino and I love barongs. I'm looking forward to the new Balance sprint, I've never handled a Schemp design before.

Re: Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?

I already have 3 shamans....bodacious not even on my radar. Dont see a need as they are so similar. I would imagine other folks are feeling the same.

I still haven't handled a Bodacious yet, but my strong guess is that it will feel better in my hand than the Shaman. The grip for me never felt ...

Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?

Have there been any whispers or rumors of any upcoming Bodacious variations? I'm ready to buy one with CruCarta, or S90V and CF.

Re: Sage 6, WHO'S EXCITED

The Sage 6 looks fantastic. I'll have to snag one of the Sprints in S90V, with the solid CF.
I used to own the Sage 1, 2, 3, & 5; never got my hands on a Sage 4. I enjoyed the 5 the most, but something about the G10 CF laminate made me sell it eventually. And I haven't given the model a chance since ...

Military 2 Sprint S90V and carbon fiber.
I hope I can say Bodacious for 2025; haven't picked one up yet since I'm waiting for a Sprint/exclusive.

This is the oldest image of a Spyderco that I still own, the Bowie. The Native is long gone, unfortunately.

Yes, the Perrin PPT had a CF S90V Sprint, made in Taiwan. A Smock in this configuration, I could not pass on that.

I know I've posted this a few times over the years, but always deserves a mention to those that appreciate a skilled guitarist with no vocals for a solid 3 minutes, from the 4:00 mark on is a good starting point.

Re: Mystery Knife Center exclusive coming 6/23 (S90V/burlap micarta Shaman)

Oh cool, I didn't know these were coming back. I scored one from the 1st run, it's such a cool knife. The burlap looks awesome, feels great. Not as "fuzzy" as the crucarta texture. Not as smooth as polished G10 or flat Seki cf.

I’m impatient so I took mine apart, polished surfaces, KPL and tuned the spring. I could not wait for the beak in period to end😜😜😜😜 smooooooth as greased glass now. I just sped up the clock a month and a few thousand opening and closing cycles.

Mine has some lock stick but nothing crazy. What is ...

Re: Military 2 CF s90v sprint run

It's been a very long time since I bought a duplicate backup. But when I saw this on sale for $261.66 at NationalKnives with no tax and free shipping, I didn't give my self any chance or time for second thoughts. After all these will be gone from the market within a few months at the most.
