I posted about the knife on the first page. It's honestly, not anything that special. I agree, pretty crazy how some people seem to think this is the end all PM2 grail knife. I honestly found it ugly in person, especially that coating  The S90V/CPM154 laminate with cf PM2 is the ultimate grail...
Just read the December Spyderco Byte and I realized that they did the thing I was asking about by designing SPY27: "Continuing this evolutionary path, the new Manix 2 Lightweight proudly features our proprietary CPM SPY27 blade steel. Starting with a tried-and-true Spyderco standard—Japanese VG-10 s...
I like all 3 clip styles/brands. The thing that has defeated clip retention the most in my experiences is sitting on a wicker chair. I've had clips bent and broken, and knives removed from the pockets while using that style chair. Seat belts are good at snatching knives too.
I can't believe I just only noticed the Schrute farms background. I think Dwight would love this knife. Perfektenschlag! LOL. :D On a more serious note, what clip are you using? That is a MXG deep carry clip more geared to the Manix or Native. Dwight would like the knife, until he reads "Taiwan" on...
The Chaparral is a knife I want to love, but that cliché issue of "lock bar too thin, hurts thumb" unfortunately made it a deal breaker for me. The FRN was nice, very similar to Seki but more like Kinects vs Lego. The CF/G10 was alright as well. Perhaps three's a charm with the wood handles, and I'...

I've been waiting for this topic to be discussed here. I had an issue with the back locks on the Native Chief and the Siren; like others mentioned, in the hammer grip (and other grips) my palm would actuate the lock bar enough to make the blade loose. They didn't feel safe and I ended up selling the...
I keep coming close to buying a millie. It’s got a sort of odd “vintage spyderco” aesthetic that I can’t quite shake. The simple construction, the soft corners on the bits of the handle around the pivot. I’m not even really into big knives, the spydiechef is about my limit. But it’s oddly alluring....
Good question. I sold my Delica in CW and regret it a little. A new Endura Cruwear with that gray FRN would bring back that joy for me, and I think CW in a larger blade makes sense.
