You dont sharpen them. You buy the replacement blades loose at most hardware stores here.Echo63 wrote:I have used their snap knives and rotary cutters.
both work very well (especially the rotary cutters)

I have no idea on the steel they use, but Ive used their rotary cutters for slicing long lengths of silicone sheeting and they work extremely well. Nice straight cuts and no biting/sticking.

Re: How do you keep your Spyderco safe?
Fortunately my wife is a pack rat. Our house is so cluttered with various hobby-related items that I can just toss a few of my Spydiepaks under her boxes in the attic and spare bedrooms. It's so efficient that there are items I haven't been able to find for years. I have a similar situation with th...

Eish the drugs are no good. I'd be really pissed if I were you but I've been there myself. It's **** hard for everyone involved. Sometimes Karma is the best way for some folks to learn though.

I had a 440V CE military stolen while I lived in Zambia. Not only was there no other knife like that within hundreds of kilometers, it was personalized/customized with a tritium backspacer. I'm sure that it disappeared into the local marketplace within minutes of being taken, never to be seen again...

In the vein of Paul's suggestion, you may also want to check into having your blades custom laser-etched with your initials or a personal logo. I prefer to use Kaiser Laser Images out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, on my own custom-made knives. For a nominal fee, they will laser etch my maker's mark and s...

I'm thinking it's time for change. At least i have no wife to stop me from buying blades Been married for 35 years. The wife started highlighting the credit card statement when I started buying Spyderco's. Thinking on my feet I curtailed that problemo; I gave her a knife to carry (EDC). She now car...

Ha ha those guns :D
Yeah, I had four surgeries, lost a kneecap and my bike & rolled out with plates in my wrist and leg. Luckily I was paid in full for the time away. Spent a month in hospital, 3 months at home and just over a year of physio. Let's just say that I don't ride any more.

That looks quite neat. It wouldn't cause the dark coating to chip or crack around had ething/ engraving would it? So far the coating seems pretty tough.

I have a Volvo 660 with a 525hp Cummins. Re: How do you keep your Spyderco safe?
Personalizing a knife is not a bad idea, especially if one were to happen to lend out knives on a regular basis. My brother is a commercial diver and carries a Atlantic Salt or Pacific Salt on every dive. He took a black Sharpie and colored in a few of the "waffles" on each side of the ha...
