Re: Daily carry with the Dragonfly

I found that I have to slice apples in a sort of circular motion, otherwise the portion behind the blade (ricasso?) gets stuck.

Other than that I really like the little light knife. I removed the pocket clip and carry it in my trousers' money pocket.

Re: Meerkat HAP40

Can I ask about the name? Meerkat? It's an Afrikaans word (most likely descendant from Dutch or Flemish). I'm interested in why the name Meerkat was chosen, and not its English name, suricate. Either way, because it has an "Afrikaans" name, and suricates are fairly common over here, I nee...

Re: PM2 S110V directly from Amazon fake?

I think Spyderco does not sell directly through Amazon. We have an advantage in PM2 S110V steel. There are almost no fakes that I've seen on ebay for exemple. This fact is I think because of the higher demand for S30V which has a lot of fakes, clones ecc. But in spite of this fact, the most secure ...

I meant the liners on the other side, but no matter, it seems legit.

Put up pics of the G10 at the lock area, and the liners on the underside of the knife, ie where the blade goes when you close the knife.

Re: paramilitary 3

I've read a lot of negative comments in this, especially on facebook. Having looked at the pictures long and hard I've come to the conclusion that I like it, and I want one. What do you guys think are the chances of getting this in digicam livery at some point? Continuing on the Military and Paramil...

Re: Safety Glasses/Goggles vs Punch question

I've taken a punch or two. Your reflexes are to protect the eyes anyway, so you normally close your eyes tightly anyway just as the punch lands. Then the cheekbones, nose and eyebrows do a lot to prevent a large, flat object like a fist from doing much damage. They might assist against an eye-gouge ...

For everyone else, don't bother watching. It's a dude in a tub with a spydiechef that rattles. Otherwise a complete waste of time.

Re: paramilitary 3

Is the stop pin floating or pinned? Can the knife be taken apart by the owner. One post said it was floating and another said it was pinned. I suppose we don't actually know yet, but 99.99% chance its a floating pin, sandwiched between the liners. I'd be shocked if it was pinned/riveted. If so, the...

Re: paramilitary 3

I am really struggling with this...I really am on the fence still between this or the Sage 5. I'm going to go with the Sage 5 as of right now, the handle just looks better for larger hands and I'm really not sure how I feel about the giant lanyard tube. Can't wait for these to drop to see more pics...

Re: paramilitary 3

And that pic pretty much sums up why I have no interest in this knife. The butt end of the handle, the Para 3 has that point right where your pinky will be Yes same here, the PM2 fits me with not much room to spare, so this one is a no-go. Like the Sage, gripped without using the choil will feel st...
