@Vivi, thank you for starting this. As someone who doesn't use many forums or any other forms of social media I really appreciate having somewhere to make an occasional trade.

Re: Best SE knife with wave opening
If Spyderco would offer Emerson versions of the Endura and Endela in SE and CE with orange handles (black could be the other option) I think they would be very popular. SE and CE work well in a variety of environments. Everything from rescue work to the hay field to boating and lots in between. The ...

Re: Rockjumper discussion
I can't wait to get one of these in hand. It's rare that I can look at a knife and know that not only will I like it but also that it will instantly kick other knives out of my pocket. This one checks all the boxes for me. I may go ahead and order both versions.

3" - 3.5" works best for me.

Re: RE: FFG H1 Pacific Salt just grind it
I've owned a couple of reground Pacific Salts. Both were nicely done and made it better, but it was basically twice the price of a VG10 Endura by that point (had I not got deals on both Pacific Salts) and not nearly it's equal. The H1 SE Pac Salt if a great tool. If I want PE I'll go for a VG10 Endu...

Re: Sal, Native 5 Trainer?
Trainers like the ones Spyderco offers are great for getting reps in on quickly accessing, opening and striking/cutting/whatever in a controlled environment. I like using them against old punching bags and such, but have seen a lot of (thankfully minor) injuries when they are used in FOF exercises. ...

Re: Tequila and Federales - Bryon Bass waxes nostalgic on the Endura in Overland Journal
The Endura was my first Spyderco. I can relate to the article as it was once confiscated on the side of a Tennessee back road late one night by a well meaning deputy sheriff after I used it to to re-do the battery cables and fuel system on my friend's '70s model Suburban. To his credit, after later ...

Re: POLL: ENDELA: Who has already bought / will / will maybe / will not get one?
I'll probably buy one soon in SE. If it were offered in combo edge I would already have one.

Re: So what is the hardware on the Native5 Salt made out of?
Adamantium. Avoid Magneto and you'll be fine. Just use the knife, it'll be fine. If you want a titanium clip, add one. I recommend MX Gear. I like the one on my Native Salt. I have a Byrd Cara Cara 2 CE. It's been in the ocean several times over the past few years, in rivers and lakes often and carr...

I've not been a fan of the Native in the past but recently picked up a Native Salt. I'm really liking it so far.

I generally carry a combo edge Endura on the water, whether swimming or boating.

Re: Do you prefer Plain edge, Serrated edge, or both?
I prefer combo edge as long as the knife blade is long enough to allow both to be useful. Delica or smaller = no. Endura = yes. I'm really hoping that the Pacific Salt in LC200n will at some point be offered in a combo edge. A FFG combo edge would be nice.

Re: Mourning for the brick and mortar stores
I'd also like to add, as an aside, that KnifeWorks (in my home state of Louisiana) is in the process of moving into a new larger showroom. According to one staffer I spoke with, it's going to be awesome, and I'll have to try to go and check it out. After a paycheck that is lol. So that's one retail...

Re: How can we get more women interested in Spyderco knives?
Update: my wife said she wishes someone had told her about rust proof steels and their benefits. Less care is attractive to her though she is not going into salt water. She likes the yellow, orange, colors. Black is ok. Colors like teal, peach, etc. are better. My wife's knife preferences for the l...

Re: How can we get more women interested in Spyderco knives?
What ideas do you all have on how we can convince more women to be interested in sporting and folding knives in general and Spyderco knives in particular? I think this is a great market for Spyderco and it would be good to see more women interested in and enjoying knives. What makes you think that ...

Endura 4/Pacific Salt. They're really larger than I like but they carry so effortlessly and do so many things so well that I just deal with the size.
