Re: What Are You Reading ?
Currently reading Get the Right Things Done" by Peter Bregman. It's not just about planning your day rationally, it's more about setting the priorities right and also covers managing task priority. For the day, and for the whole life.

My nephew is a detective and they carry Red Sabre. You can buy a variety of canisters on Ebay. I carry the gel type on my keychain.

Re: Family friendly jokes
True story.
My daughter discovered how to control the music in the car with my phone. She decided she would play House of the Rising Sun four or five times in a row every day…just to annoy me.
Every once in a while, she taunts me with the first few bars.

Re: Tactical Pens Revisited
I use a Tuff Writer every day in the office. A solid chunk of steel it’s made to be an impact weapon. That being said, it’s an excellent writing implement as well.
When I travel I use Zebra steel barreled pens. Not quite as robust but at $7 apiece I don’t mind as much if the TSA confiscates them.

Re: Tactical Pens Revisited
I carry a Gerber Impromptu everyday
Simple, elegant, easily refillable and affordable.
Can always have a nice pen for when signing papers or documents on errands or simply taking notes in a pocket journal.

Re: Why did the market want heavier knives?
I prefer thin blades, grinds, and tips. Thicker blades are more popular because of what people imagine they will do with the knife . I mostly carry mine in a city, doing mostly mundane stuff. The amount of hard use my knife gets in a given day is pretty minimal, so a larger blade/frame isn't really ...

Re: Lets talk about watch bands
I use my watches on a regular basis. They are a lot more than a collector's item...they are a regular part of my wardrobe, like my shirts.Tend toward the affordable ($1000 and less, usually much less http://jonsguide.org/best-top-watches-under-1000-reviews/ ), though I do have a few Omegas that are ...

Re: Knife quality question
Finally made it over to St. Louis to visit my niece and nephew for my great niece's second birthday party, and found they had gotten a new knife set. I've been wanting to sharpen up all their decent knives (mostly 440C Chicago Cutlery) but for a variety of reasons just haven't managed. They bought a...

Re: I've got a robot
I thought long and hard about buying a Dyson (and planned to for many years), but I couldn't justify (much less afford) the price. There was also the concern about the Dyson ball technology being able to get around/under beds and furniture. I ended up getting the newest model Shark V2700Z directly f...
