Re: Would a Byrd Rescue be allowed?

I doubt you’d have any trouble whatsoever SEF. If you see a copper walking your way just pulling out the knife and start combining your hair with it. If the copper asks what you’re doing, act surprised, keep combining your hair and ask him “Do I look all right, how’s my hair?” And tell him you’re wa...

Re: What are these imbeciles thinking?

Well, it seems American's aren't the only ones making bad choices when it comes to making pets out of exotic imported animals... Hey Paul, I missed that one on the News but the boys at work told me about it and again I’m lost for words. All I know for certain is if we Australian’s were allowed to k...

Re: Tips for UF bench stone?

I only have UF SharpMaker rods that I seldom if ever use. That said I know the general consensus is to use these stones dry however, I’ve found that using Windex to wet the stone with a half inch artists brush although messy (using the SharpMaker) it gives much better report and greatly reduces clog...

I use H1 Plain Edge Tasman HB to clean fish. In my use it holds up very well with a coarse edge and fair to say it's a bit of a favourite. :)

That's the best way to open your knife around non-knife peoples. There's no intimidation factor.
Ah, hahaha! :)

About the only time I flick open a knife is when I’m tuning it. I can’t see any value in slamming the blade tang against the stop pin which ultimately impacts the pivot pin.

Hey Wood, I’ve medium size hands and here’s a Military and a LadyBug for comparison. :)

Re: Lanskey sharpener

Hey Cowboy, I persevered with a Lansky for about a decade. You can certainly achieve excellent results with shorter blades but the clamping system makes it fiddly and quite often frustrating trying to clamp FFG blades with distal tapers. I think it has several down sides that seem inherent to sharpe...
