Oh man, one of the ones I really want, but release is right in the middle of a work meeting.

Re: poll: preference of production or exclusives/sprints?

I strongly prefer sprints over exclusives. Production models are usually uninteresting but easier to get than exclusives, so that’s nice. Can you elaborate why? Sure! Exclusives are from a single source, so there are fewer opportunities should it be a particularly popular configuration or if I expe...

I think I'm officially retiring my Crucarta PM2 tabs today. I hope everybody here that wanted one, got one!

This thread inspired me to carry mine:

Btw, this RGT clip is leaps and bounds better than the wiggly wire clip on a knife like this.

Re: Spyderco PITS Folder (Pie In The Sky)

This is excellent news! I just hope for a higher wear resistant stainless than the N690. I’d carry mine more than a few times a year if it retained an edge better. The excellent stainlessness is an excellent feature of it and should get carried forward to the next version. 62 HRC 204p/20CV/M390 woul...

If I didn’t have the DLC version and the Rex 45 sprint, I’d be in on this too. That’s just one more for you guys! Good luck!

I am sitting here with my KnifeCenter preorder email saying “we ain’t got to you yet” while watching videos of people with them in hand on YouTube trying to guess when mine will drop.
What YouTube videos are you talking about? The search function isn’t showing me any useful vids.

Re: Poll... Crucarta ...Poll

I have enough Cru-wear to last a lifetime or 3, so the allure of micarta is much more compelling than that of Cru-wear for me. However, the allure of Z-wear is much more compelling for me than that of micarta. Yeah, I know that it’s the same recipe as Cru-wear, but my fondness for Z-wear is consider...

Re: Describe the upsides and downsides of your favorite knife in a single statement.

I have two:

The CBBL is the best lock, but is let down by the overall availability and edge-to-blade length ratio of the Manix.

The Shaman’s potential to be the best knife is ruined by its overly fat BTE thickness.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Hey Attila, Ever since sharpening that Shaman and leaving it at that coarse grit, retention does seem to be a bit improved. That could also be due to the fairly coarse finish as well, but it has been noticeable. My only other CruWear is the DLT Delica which I actually just finished sharpening and b...

I wouldn’t expect Cruwear to measure up to the high edge retention / wear resistant steels, but part of what I love is the compromise space it occupie...

Re: Province testing video, not mine, just sharing here.

I was surprised to see them for $200 at New Graham on Thursday. I thought they were a limited run, not a discoed regular production item. I’d like it to stay regular production just in case if I want to buy a second one.
