Re: Any dog lovers?

All of these puppy pictures are reminding me of how much I miss having a dog. I grew up with several, and being Hungarian, we had those breeds as well. First was a black Puli named Cricket (Tücsök), and was already around before I was born. Much to my dismay, he was put down in 1994, when I was visi...

Re: Poll: CPM MagnaCut

If a mule can be bought without already being part of the mule team (would be my first!) I would love to. 1. France. When the time comes, all you have to do is buy from the Spyderco website when they are available. Mules are available to the public but only directly from Spyderco. Make sure you cre...

Re: Cut myself.... again

Considering how serious some of my cuts have seemed at the time, I’m fortunate to have full function. My worst one was from a freshly razor-sharpened tomahawk that bounced out of a chop perpendicular to the grain of some very hard wood. My hand was several inches away, but it was an angled chop that...

Re: Oil on stones?

I used Ballistol on my Double Stuff for a little while a long time ago, but the glue holding the two sides together softened and let go over time.

A neutral honing oil would have been better if I had wanted them to stay together, but I don’t mind them being separate double-sided stones.

Re: Siren - strange lock movement

We can make excuses but this isn’t the quality I have come to expect from a Golden lockback or any knife at this price point. There were way too many reports for me to make the purchase. This knife is high on my wishlist but until I know it will have a Native5 level of lockup I will continue to wai...

Re: Show your Mule

Got a new resin 3d printer and was really happy with this new set of translucent green scales for my MT29 Z-Max. Looking forward to putting this one to the test. 20210919_091641.jpg 20210918_200808.jpg 20210918_200831.jpg I REALLY like that! What material is it? I’ll have to ask my buddy if his res...

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening to us

While I agree that PM2 clips are better (for me) as tip-up, the OP ruined the potential of this thread from the get-go by being very rude.

Re: Street Bowie sheath dulls edge.

I’ve had a kydex sheath that I made myself dull my B70P mule. Nothing but plastic, yet it dulled ~59-61 hrc steel. :confounded

I found it odd, but adjusted how I draw and insert the blade until I get around to making a new sheath.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy a K390 Military, Featuring Green Canvas Micarta and a Titanium Reeve Integral Lock?

I voted “maybe” because I really like the Military but dislike frame locks even more than liner locks.

Frame locks also add extra cost for a feature that I don’t want.

That’s 0.0015” or 1.5 thousandths. Be very careful removing that little amount of material! 🤷‍♂️ Did the math right, reported the difference incorrectly. Understood it is a very small amount, hence the temptation to engage in polishing rather than “sanding”. I may yet choose to do nothing at all, c...

"I’ve never had any fit or finish issues with any Spyderco Seki. In fact, the few fit and finish issues I’ve had were all Golden models." Agree with T.J. I have a large collection of Seki City Spyderco knives,,, all are excellent. Golden is behind in quality control. New PM2 Cruwear,,, ou...
