DF2 blade play question
So, I recently purchased a ZDP DF2 and got a warranty replacement due to significant up/down blade/lock play that I could plainly feel when cutting cardboard. I just received the new one in the mail yesterday, and much to my dismay, this one also has vertical blade/lock play through thick cardboard....

Re: Broken wire pocket clip
Oh, sorry about that.
I don't have their email address, but their main website would be where I'd head to first. Look for 'contact us' or similar link near the top or bottom of the page.

Re: Broken wire pocket clip
Give the spyderco factory outlet a call. They sell them along with free spare clip screws if you have need of them.
I only have the main #: (800) 525-7770
There should be an option to transfer the he outlet store.

Re: How about a Dragonfly 2 in M390 or CTS-204P or CPM-20CV?
Cruwear is not a favorite of mine since it neither have very good toughness or very good edge retention or very good corrosion resistance. LC200N might however have superior corrosion resistance but how's the edge retention? CPM Cruwear's -wear resistance should be as good as or better than S30V de...

Re: Caly Hap40 Sprint in Forest Green
That's interesting, because I also called knife center with this same question. The lady said that on Jan 20th, they had already received 136 preorders and were going to close preorders once filled. I take that with a grain of salt, because if the sprint run is only 1200 pieces, I don't see a single...

Re: How about a Dragonfly 2 in M390 or CTS-204P or CPM-20CV?
BUT, wait! My google-fu has prevailed! At http://www.bohler.jp/english/766.php, it is stated that Bohler is "one of the major suppliers of Special Steels in the Japan market." And at http://www.bohler.jp/english/886.php, M390 is listed among their tool steels. I may not do any contracting ...

Doh! The voice of reason has crushed our dreams... :oUnless it's a steel they can ship to Japan and talk Japan into using, this will never happen.

Re: Will there be a Manix based knife with a 3'' blade?
+1 on the native filling this spot
The Native is already a <3" blade.
There are plenty or lockbacks, so the idea is to have a CBBL with a <3" blade. Basically, it'd be kind of like the native but with a CBBL.
Now a <2.5" lil' Native would be sweet!

Re: How about a Dragonfly 2 in M390 or CTS-204P or CPM-20CV?
YES! I would be absolutely on board with an M390/20CV/204P version! I have also been thinking lately that the Dragonfly LW should be available in something like S110V or Maxamet for those who frequent federal facilities and want more wear and/or corrosion resistance than ZDP. Speaking of which... It...

Re: Para 3 variants
I like this idea! I'd really like blue denim micarta in place of G10 with Cruwear or M390, but doubt the micarta part would ever become reality.FDE wrote:+1 on the Cruwear Para 3.
Denim blue please.

Para 3 variants
So I was perusing Benotboxshop's selection today only to find that they have listed some Para 3 variants and prices. I haven't seen discussion on these yet. I am excited for one of these, and I've read a few guys hoping for a blurple version, so here's what I found: C223GPS Partially Serrated Edge B...

Re: What's your favorite Spydie today?
HAP40 Endura, because it has the best steel of my Spyderco selection. A ZDP DFly is coming from warranty replacement next week, so that will be a nice companion and may replace the Endura as favorite because it can go more places legally.

Re: "Lil" Knives
Lil-Manix or Manix Jr @ 2.5" and/or a Manix3 @ 3" would be my choices. I want a CBBL for work but the Manix 2 is just too big. A 2.5" and a 3" version would be sweet!
