Re: s90v SHAMAN IS OUT

Military as an office knife, very cool (and I mean it!)! Worked in an office once (luckily not any more), always carried a sabre grind Endura at that time... also not the typical folder in that enviroment... ;) I wish I could bring that beast to the office, unfortunately it's better if I don't. Jus...

Re: s90v SHAMAN IS OUT

I use a Sharpmaker at 30 degrees. sal And I bet he sleeps like a baby never worrying about the possibility of carbide tear out. ;) (I've sharpened S90V on the Sharpmaker as well. It's a lot easier to maintain, I must say, if you start with a sharp and well profiled knife to begin with, like a Spyde...

Re: s90v SHAMAN IS OUT

Thank you, I don't write much but I am always lurking here. Sal, I was curious about the way you sharpen and maintain the edge on your S90V blades. Do you have any preference regarding stones/grits/strops?

I am guessing Volk meant: He has the basic SM (so with brown and white rods) PLUS the diamond and UF ones...

Re: s90v SHAMAN IS OUT

Hi Chivaceae, Welcome to our forum. Hi Cobra, I'll carry one tomorrow. S90 & CF......made for me. really a classic piece. sal Hello Sal, as I am relatively new to sharpening, I'd like to ask you about the way you sharpen and maintain the edge of your S90V knives, as it looks like it's one of yo...

Re: Show us your roadie

It is a very capable little knife, I actually had to use mine a couple of weeks ago in Germany to cut some nylon straps that we used to package a machine. Cutting them with scissors was taking us ages, then I found out that I forgot my Roadie in my pocket (I almost never travel with knives on me) an...

Re: New knife law hits london

There is a noticeable tendency to apply new restrictions in the name of "safety", especially here in Europe. I think that politicians could at least put some more effort into it, I mean, this is just plain nonsense: "No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife." And this...

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

Love the blade shape and the red back spacer, it's going to be very hard to say no to this one. The deep carry wire clip is the icing on the cake.

Re: Official Sliverax Discussion Thread

Hello everyone! First post here after at least a couple of years of lurking and learning about knives. Thank you all for contributing to this great community. Last week I received my Sliverax, which became my 11th Spyderco knife and my favorite of the collection. I don't think I have much more to ad...
