Well, I love my Manix LW, I would like the action to be better, and I have none of your equipment or skill: but this is pretty great. Nice work, and thanks for sharing!

Re: Boye dent poll. Let your voice be heard or be a sheep in a herd.
The Boye dent was added to some models because the lock well was large and we were concerned that the knife could be accidentally unlocked by pressure from the fleshy part of the hand. We added the dent, with David's permission, gave him credit for it, and we still have it on many models. In some r...

Rule 9: Never go anywhere without a knife.
Good choice on the Manix. I thought I might like it, but I really love it. Still need to try the LW, but there’s every possibility that REX45 will solve that for me...

Re: 2nd run Teal Dragonfly
I picked one up the first go around a gifted it to my daughter. She loves it!!! No need for another, but exciting for those still looking to get one. CG Same here - picked up two to give to my youngest daughters, and the one that has hers loves it. (still waiting for a birthday for the youngest to ...

Congrats! The other day I heard the telltale sound of my daughter opening her dragonfly to cut off tags. It was surprising how happy I felt that she was using it. Pretty cool. :)

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2019
The last time I commented in an oft-repeated “what Spydie do you want?” thread, the answer was: a Manix in the m390 family. And no sooner had I found a great deal on a completely different M2 sprint the 20cv M2’s dropped. The 20cv M2 has not left my pocket all year, and the other sprint is still in ...

That’s really great milling work. So easy for it to look sloppy, just with one grind line barely off. Nice job!

Re: BHQs translucent "natural" G10 exclusives
I actually like the look. I wouldn’t like fully transparent scales, but I do like the translucence with natural light. And it’s cool how many different models they’ve pumped out.
I also like it from a consistency perspective - it’s almost like a sub-brand.

Re: EDC, or rotation?
Cool question: I’ve been wondering about this lately - so it feels timely. I’ve tried 5-10 models over the past several years, but for a while it has felt odd if there isn’t a Manix in my pocket. Sometimes I have a Caly as a 2nd, but pretty much always one of the pair of Manixes I own.
