Re: Original Spyderco Knife: questions about it.

IIRC, it was featured on Blade HQ's spyderco shop tour and was shown off by Eric. Definitely a very cool piece of spyderco history.

This might have happened to my PM2 after a year of flicking. Lockup is at 100%.

Re: PM2 Lock Rock

From my research, it isn't a fake. The lanyard tube is chamfered, the cutout is rounded, and it doesn't have any of the flaws that were associated with a fake.

Also, I read on BF that you should be ok as long as it was direct from Amazon, and mine was.

Thanks for your input!

Re: PM2 Lock Rock

It was purchased directly from amazon, and it has all the correct markings and the G10 around the lock cutout is rounded. It passed all of the tell-tale signs of being a fake. I'm definitely going to send it in after the Christmas shipping. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Re: PM2 Lock Rock

Bill, I haven't really used the PM2, but I have carried and occasionally flicked for the last year. Matt, I have already tried rotating the lock pin, and the lockup did not change. Sorry for the bad pics, but I can see the detent ball hitting the other liner when it is locked open. I can't push the ...

PM2 Lock Rock

After 1 year of carry, I noticed that my PM2 started to develop some vertical blade play, even when the lock is touching the other liner. Should I worry about it, or just keep using the blade without sending it in for repair. Also, the stop pin has tarnished/rusted.

I hate to bring back a dead thread, but JC penny has a cyber monday sale that prices spyderco products around 65% off full retail price.

Jazz, how would a para 2 wharrencliffe do for your needs. I find that the larger choil allows me to more comfortably use the pinch grip.

Re: my coworker had success with Amazon

It also worked out for me. My first spyderco purchase was from the river store. Just be sure to buy from Amazon, not a seller.
