Re: Upcoming Sage 5 LW - Who's In?

Better edge retention.... In my experience the CTS HXP of the Chap has better edge retention than S30V... in fact, it feels like a "slghtly better S30 V" to me personally... you're absolutely right, and that's true in my experience as well. Re: Upcoming Sage 5 LW - Who's In?

Better edge retention* and beefier stock, as well as slightly improved ergonomics for larger hands

EDIT: * Was thinking of the para 3 LW when i mentioned this

Re: The Extended Native Family

I happen to live in a state where the edge is defined as the sharpened portion of the blade, but I'd say it's up to the user to make sure they're carrying in accordance with their local laws.

Changing those local laws is what supporting knife rights is for!

It should break in with the burrs worn off. I've carried mine quite a bit and it is now very smooth. I really like S90V.

Re: Janisong clip and why we need more like it.

I've heard that the janisong clip only fully slips into deep carry on very slender material; perhaps an iteration would increase the radius of the bend?

Paul, in Eric's video with BHQ at Blade, I think he mentioned an improved bushing system. Do you know if that CQI is being pushed to the ikuchi?

Re: Cruwear Micarta Native follow up to the Shaman??

Looks great! I much prefer satin over stonewash. That's totally personal preference of course, but I think especially on the Shaman and even more so combined with a Micarta handle, a stone washed blade would be just perfect... Gravel, a wide-mouth plastic bottle, a bit of water+soap and a few hours...

Re: Caribbean salt is getting sticky and showing rust

to my knowledge, the Caribbean has as much hardware as possible made of LC200n, including liners. Will be following this; I expect it's fouling, not corrosion.

photo of this year bladeshow 2019 https://i.imgur.com/2oIgkRJ.jpg that's looking fantastic!   :D :D Except that the blade is not stonewashed like on the S30V model... :( true, but that would be something easier for the end user to complete. I felt the same way about loving the s30v'...
