Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

If they do bring back the Chokwe, my preference would be for a compression lock, but if not, at least a steel on steel lock interface.

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

I definitely don't mind when the tab/bump/nub hits my finger on closing. It's what it's designed to do - protect my finger from the edge.

Re: Sprints

I can't speak to the realities of Spyderco's manufacturing capacity, but as one of the most prolific production companies, they introduce and discontinue models at paces far faster than the competition. Sprints might be a way to respond quickly to the demands of the enthusiast market while not perma...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

FYI, Clovisc is the person that started the entire Chokwe and Watu project when he was in Zambia with the Peace Corp. sal I remember doing a deep dive into those old threads back when I was digging into the Ethnic Series. It's really a design that is surprisingly comfortable - but as we know, it's ...

I guess we can listen to you complain about the CF laminate or the high price? Methinks the higher price is a bigger problem, so we go with the laminate.

sal
i'm definitely happy with the laminate.

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

I'm wondering how the wire clip will function - it looks like the "contact" point is positioned over one of the holes, so it won't actually exert force on the scale? I'm sure that will still give some retention but probably not the same as pinching pocket material to the scale. Any thoughts? I init...

Re: Damascus Shaman

So I'm looking into working with some custom makers to perhaps get a reblade done, and buying the damasteel alone is pretty pricey, in the 150-200 range depending on pattern. Definitely gives some insight into why Spyderco might be hesistant - folks already complained about the Shaman's cost. A Dama...

Re: Sharpmaker - Profile ZT 0920

a ZT 0920 with a compression lock would be very, very nice. I've handled a 0920 that had been modded to add a spydiehole, and it's quite nice.
