Re: Canadian UKPK
If you have a legal knife 12cm 2hand open at a Christmas market you might also get in trouble. Blades longer 12cm should better be in locked containers. Beside that there are more illegal knives. Doubleside blades, Balisong, OTF, ... Please! do not cause confusion. 12 cm/4,72“ ONLY affects fixed bl...

Re: Canadian UKPK
As I understand, No one hand open locking folders. No knives over 4" in blade length. If I am not correct, perhaps one of our German forumites can explain. sal Hello sal, the blade length limit in Germany only concerns fixed blades, it is 12cm (4,72"). For folders the shall not be one-han...

Re: Canadian UKPK
This is probably where I’ll end up. Cuscadi makes really nice custom scales for the UKPK. I don’t suppose you would consider making me a custom slipjoint? Hahaha. ;) I usually let my UKPKs mod by Cuscadi and meanwhile I have quite a few of them (CF-, Kirinite-, G10-Variations) and I can highly reco...

Re: Canadian UKPK
It seems like non-locking knives getting more and more important, not only in Europe, but also across other countries worldwide... Despite that being a sad development I am happy as it could bring as more interesting knife patterns like new versions of the UKPK or the PITS as the market for those kn...

More fine SlipIts! Especially the size of the UKPK or the PITS; Sprint of the UKPK (H1- Blade and/or Ti-Handle)

Re: Are there two hand opening locking knives by Spyderco?
I know that judgement of the Verwaltungsgericht Wiesbaden, fortunately it is not a Supreme Court case law. There are some other interesting points of the VG Wiesbaden in this judgement, e.g. concerning Friction Folders... And of course, a Slipjoint has nothing in common with the mechanism of the Gri...

Re: Are there two hand opening locking knives by Spyderco?
[...]might turn out bad since there is one judgement that deemed the Böker Griploc to be an Einhandmesser because of it's "eleborate mechanic" was "locked by the hand" and "doesn't close when used under normal use conditions". Now IMO this judgement is bullshit and als...

Thank you so much, Spyderco, for the Little Native Slipjoint! Really looking forward to this one!

Re: Broken Spring on UKPK
I collect Spyderco Slipjoints (coming from Germany) and I agree, that it is not reasonable, to send in a knife like the UKPK (costs in Germany about 65€) for transport costs (one way) of ~ 35€... I also broke a (split) UKPK spring once (absolutely my fault, with brute force when putting it together)...

Re: What do you use your knives for?
I carry the Spyderco Slip-Its (especially the UKPK and occasionally the PITS) as EDC-knives, because they completely fulfill my needs and are perfectly legal in Germany. Knives like e.g. the PM2 I carry, when I´m on duty as reserve officer in the German army. Each knife I achieve is also a collector...

Re: Big Slip-It
I would appreciate a greater variety of Spyderco Slip-Its, not only bigger ones, but also more high-end-models like the PITS, the Terzuola SlipIt or the UKPK Ti. The evolution in knife-laws all over the world tends to become more restrictive. Already at the moment there are vast parts of Europe, Asi...

PITS.
Perhaps another one, if I would not live in Germany. But so, the PITS is perfect for me.

Re: Spyderco Slipits are great, just wanted to tell
I would love to see a sprint g10 UKPK someday but I understand why Sal has reservations about that. I still (really) hope we see a sprint using the current FRN mold with 52100 which he mentioned a while back. Also still hoping the current UKPK gets the S110V treatment. That dark blue FRN would look...

Spyderco Slipits are great, just wanted to tell
I live in a big city in southern Germany and have the urgent need to tell, what fantastic knives the Spyderco slipits are. Since knife laws, general in Europe and also in Germany become stricter and locking knives are (here only under strict regulations) carryable, I don´t feel in any way unsafe wit...
