Re: Outdoor Spyderco - what would you pick?

Police 4. When I bought mine I had no plan whatsoever to use it as an outdoors folder but the **** thing just happened to fit that role like a glove! Long enough blade for food prep (or cleaning fish/game) and tough enough for most woodworking tasks (save batoning of course!) It also carries very co...

I don’t really care about the steel or the model but it must have boneless liners... I’m trademarking that! :D

Re: Your Favorite Examples of Spyderedge, and Why

Favorite SE blade? I gotta say the Jumpmaster. That thing rips and tears through just about anything like it’s nobody’s business! It’s not for fine cutting, mind you but rather for those situations when something’s just gotta get cut like right frickin’ NOW! :p

Re: Folding Camp Knife Suggestions

A lot of good info and experience shared in this thread. I feel the camping part has already been covered in above posts and therefore I will be brief in my suggestions:

K2
Manix2 XL
Tatanka

All beefy, sturdy folders.

100 Pacer.
Man that knife intrigues me! I must have it!

PM 2 sprint in 52100 if it shows up.
Another "must have". I love carbon steels.

Rhino and Wharncliffe Delica if the budget allows.

Re: Is the grinding acceptable?

Rule to live by: accept that any knife you ever get will not be ground perfect you will need to correct it and sharpen to your preference. I sharpen every knife first thing when I get them no exceptions. Same here. And that's why I never really care about sharpness or grind on a factory edge, unles...

Pm2. Personally I carry the Techno more but the Pm2 is the better all-rounder imho.

Re: Sticky deployment on pm2

Had the same problem with my s110v PM when it was brand new. I flipped it a bunch of times to see if I could break it in and it did get smoother but it still wasn't perfect. So I cleaned it out with some compressed air to make sure no dust or lint was stuck in there and after that I lubed it up gene...

Awesome GAW, thank you for doing this! Most kind of you and Xplorer both! I'm in and I'll pick #255 What I enjoy most about the holidays is the food and the opportunity to just sit back, put my feet up and pour myself a tumbler of Laphroaig, all while being surrounded by my family and loved ones. Re: Purpose of a Business?

I don't think I'm going to sound very idealistic in my view of this, but here goes. The way I see it, the purpose of a business is to make money or profit. Period. If you aren't making money then operating the business is a massive waste of effort. Now, if along the way to creating profits you can ...

Re: What's the back spring tension on the Pingu like?

Hi and welcome to the board! :) The backspring on the Pingu has a much better tension than on the Squeak. I have both knives and compared them side by side. The Pingu is very nice and "snappy" and the half step also has better tension than the one on the Squeak. It's a sweet little knife a...

Re: Now's The Time: For A New Hawkbill II

Dream Spyderco hawkbill? I say stone washed, ti handle, RIL and a SpyderEdge. LC200n or H1 and it'd be the perfect boat knife but I'm not picky, any decent steel will do. I'd buy one, **** put me down for two! :spyder:
