Re: Is there any good reason the Ouroboros is $167?

i made a couple comments in this thread that Sal is a businessman first and just does the right thing second. Sometimes I wonder if people are even talking about knives or Ferraris. To a non-knife person, a knife just looks like a knife. That's the vast majority of my experiences. It's just a knife....

Re: Sage 3 Stiff Lock/Review

Welcome, I have the same CF Sage 3. Mine came smooth brand new. Not quite like an axis lock but pretty **** smooth. I honestly haven't had a chance to even use it. Several months ago, I bought a Sage 1 (liner lock). The knife was not very smooth. More to do with opening/closing. I had handled sever...

I found this thread very interesting.

I will say that Sal is a businessman first, but also just does the right thing.

Re: Benchmade convert - recomendations

Welcome wmpy I agree that the Delica is a great knife. It's thin and light but feels great in the hand. I love VG10 and it takes a wicked sharp edge. There are many color and steel options (handles too). The Dragonfly 2 is another favorite. Good ergos and cuts like crazy. I've shopped and bought a f...

A few knives I've never seen at B and M

I stopped by my back up B and M store. Came across a few things I haven't seen before or even read about. I found a really nice BM-North Fork folding knife. G10 handles with a light/dark blue or gray pattern (color blind and can't tell which but nice). 2.97" recurve blade. Very thick blade but ...

Re: Your Average Spyderco Knives' Purchases in USD

I roughly did the math and its about $100. I don't own any 'exciting' or sprint run Spydercos but hope to soon. My collection has to be thinned out first. In late 2013 (I think), I knowingly overpaid for my 1st PM2 at a B&M. It was camo/black..PM2s were scarce and I had to have one. It was eithe...

Re: At which price range are the majority of your knife purchases?

I chose the $100-$300. However, my purchases are on the low end ($200 and below). I really don't see many knives in the $250-$399 range. I'm aware there are some. Plenty that seem to be just at $200 or slightly over. It seems like it skips up to the SNG or Sebenza prices etc. Maybe it's just nothing...

Re: How do you store your knives?

I have mine stored in a small 50lb safe. I've been too lazy to bolt to wall so it's just on the floor. I don't like keeping them in one place. I took a dozen more expensive ones and left at my sisters in a small lock box. I'm about 200 yards from salt water creek that goes into Boston harbor. I keep...

Re: Fake Tech Support Calls: Anyone else get them?

I've been getting calls I won a condo in Florida. I can't hit $2 on a scratch card never mind win a condo. Although my luck I did and they have moved on to the runner up because the winner wouldn't except it. Seriously, this whole Country/World has way too many coward, scum bag scam artists.. I'd re...

Re: Zero Tolerance 0562CF

I own the ZT 0562 with G10 and Elmax. The build quality is amazing. The blade rockets out on every flip. Everything is tight and perfect. The ergos are great. That being said, I haven't cut a thing with it. Without using it I can safely say the knife will cut/slice better then most ZTs. However, it ...

Re: Your "odd" hobbies?

I love Shimano reels too. I've had good luck with Pinnacles. Those two brands for spinning reels. The field gets much bigger for bait casters because they are stronger by design. I don't know if anyone is into it but my real hobby is keeping and breeding aquarium fish. I keep mostly wild caught Cich...

Re: My very own knife company

Seriously, too bad you had problems with your knife and it came back less then perfect. Stuff happens. You may have to send it in a second time. Go thru the proper channels not the forum. I'd call warranty and repair and send it back. Better then attacking/blindsiding the owner with your problem on ...

Re: OK, it's time to get serious

I know what you are talking about with the Delica handle. I have large hands and thick fingers. Somehow, I can just fit my middle finger a little before that handle point. It kind of rests on point but is still comfortable. Ideally, I'd rather not have the point there or it be positioned different.....

Re: OK, it's time to get serious

Years ago I worked in the shipping department of a warehouse. I was there about 2 years and remember it well. The company/warehouse was enormous (over 30 shipping/receiving doors) and dealt mainly in silver and crystal products. I worked as a large order picker. I'd track down cases for large orders...

Thank. Keep the pics coming. Should have known, I have a half dozen yozuris but smaller for FW. Great suspending, quality Japanese bait.Haven't used them for a while but this is the time (cooler water). Looks like you will get a few meals from that fish..Enjoy..

Re: Sprig and Punta Chivato get a workout today.

That's impressive. That jerk bait (Bomber ?) looks tiny. Beautiful, big fish. I never noticed the yellow fins. Are there more then one species ? That has to take some agility, bringing that fish in on a kayak.
