Hmmm...maybe installing the Spyderco app on my phone wasn't such a great idea. :thinking

Re: "The knife guy"

I guess I run in the wrong circles because almost nobody I know even carries a knife, except maybe on a multi-tool in their backpack or something like that, and I definitely don't have any friends who are into knives as a hobby. I will occasionally get comments from friends or family when I pull out...

Re: Upcoming: St. Nick's Para 3 LW DLC 4V red FRN exclusive

Thanks to St Nicks for another really well planned and executed drop! Got mine today and it's an instant favorite. The colors are awesome and the quality control is also great on my example, as others have mentioned.

My only complaint is they need to start dropping some models I don't like! :)

Re: crucarta pm2 now shipping

Really impressed with this one. This is the first knife I've had with this type of micarta handle, the texture feels great. It actually has that soft feel on the surface like a canvas shoe or bag, which I did not expect. Other micarta knives I've handled always had the smooth, shiny type that is fin...

Re: Low End Spyderco Knives

But I have to admit, you guys did open my eyes to considering one of the offerings made in Taiwan, for I apparently mistakenly assumed that the location was (also) chosen for it low labor costs Vs. image of quality. Thanks for your service! I think a lot of people likely make the same assumptions a...

Re: Spyderco 2022 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

They must have gotten a small batch. Their website shows it as OOS now. Hopefully supply will catch up with demand soon. You might want to check again. It seems to be a glitch on their site for me - the search page with the thumbnail image says OOS, but if I click through to the product detail, it ...

Re: Shaman safety

I kind of put it in the same category as the recessed lock release on the GB1 & GB2. It lessens the "fidget factor" if you're sitting there opening and closing the knife over and over, but in normal use it's not really that big of a deal imo. In both cases, the designs are the way they...

Re: Playing favorites

My #1 is the UKPK 110v. Ridiculously lightweight and easy to carry, perfect ergos for my hand, stays sharp forever for the light tasks I need it for, cheap enough to easily replace if I ever lost it/broke it, and surprisingly, I have found that I really don't need a lock for most tasks as having the...

Re: Gayle Bradley 3 Possibility?

GB3 would be a very interesting knife, but it should rather be a new design than just a GB1 remake. Does anyone know if Mr. Bradley still actively makes knives? I was not able to find much online (I tried some time back) I wonder if he retired from full-time knife making, because it looks like his ...

Re: Kiwi 4 lightweight

I'd certainly be interested in a FRN Kiwi with contoured scales, although I guess it would kind of cross over with the Roadie a little bit in those materials. I would also love to see a new "fancy" version with SS or titanium bolsters and inlays, but I'm afraid it would be insanely expensi...

Re: StNicksKnives Native Chief in Black CPM 4V and Red G10

Slightly off topic but how many copies can a master flipper acquire? I've seen exclusives on ebay that were limited purchases of one or two and the flipper had ten available. How do they do this? I'm sure that the various shopping bot software out there has ways of putting in multiple credit cards ...

Re: Bring back the jester?

I regret selling my burgundy micarta version years ago. It was a really classy little knife. I did snag one of the GITD ones recently, but I'd be interested in a sprint for a "gents" version with some kind of nice polished micarta or jigged bone or some other fancy scales option. That woul...

Re: Best place to sell?

I would like to know myself. I dislike using ebay but it is where I have had the best success as a seller and seems the easiest format. Most of what I own is Exclusives and Sprints and long discontinued and can sell for a premium. I look at past sales and determine the range and list somewhere arou...

Re: MT35P - CPM MagnaCut Mule Team - Release Date

I strongly suspect the flipper bots are causing all the issues. They can try over and over far faster than any human can hit refresh. Exactly. I guarantee you that's the root cause of problems on most of these types of drops. It's a cat-and-mouse game between the people making the bots and the vari...

My Sage 3 with the bolt action lock is the smoothest knife I own. It feels like a balisong that locks.
