Weird, I haven't gotten any email yet. Maybe I'm just a ways down the list.

Re: EDC, or rotation?

I rarely carry the same knife 2 days in a row. I like to mix it up. There are certain ones that rotate in more often though.

Re: What happened to the Kapara?

Oh please make it with micarta scales, a nice half stop and the same basic design as the original. That would be amazing.

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

I said I was going to work on it a bit more. I thought I'd post the setup I used and the results. It's night and day from before. I honestly think Spyderco just needs to re-do the clip bends on this one and they'll have it 99% solved. It's SO much better. I really hope they do some CQI on this since...

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

We'll, my grinds and stop pin are fine. I just had a go at re-bending the clip and with a little more clearance it's a great improvement. Not perfect by any means but vastly better. Here's what it looks like now. I plan to tweak it a bit more later. Hopefully I don't screw it up. https://i.imgur.co...

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

I was coming on here to make the exact same post as the OP. It's such a great knife that I really want to like but I'm really close to returning it because the clip is so bad. I'll try it on a few more pants tomorrow. Maybe this pair is especially bad and maybe I can resend the clip but if it doesn'...

Re: New Spyder Knife, need sharpening?

All of my Spydercos have come sharp, certainly sharp enough for normal use. I like mine sharper than factory though and like to set bevels narrower than factory so I always reprofile and sharpen them withing the first couple weeks.

Re: Light Weight LC200N Kapara

I think I'd rather see it in canvas micarta scales and a steel that can handle really low angles. Maybe a hard 4v or HAP40. Lightweight models are cool too though, I just feel like the Kapara screams for something really slicy with a grippy contoured handle.

St. Nick's Para 3 for me. Too obvious? ;) :)
Same here, though the Kapara will probably get some pocket time too.

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

If I hold the knife as I would for cutting and disengage the lock with my thumb and no pressure on the clip side scale it drops shut freely and the blade choil swings into my index finger. Works fine for me, though not quite as fidget friendly. ;)

My regular rotation of EDC knives are: S110v Para 2 4v Para 3 Kapara ZDP189 Delica Gareth Bull Shamwari Chris Reeve Small Inkosi Massdrop FF Gent Benchmade 940-1 The Para 3 and Shamwari seem to get the most pocket time lately though I have a feeling the Kapara will be getting a whole lot of time now...

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

Got mine last night and my initial impression is really good. Love the design and the fit and finish on mine is perfect. The ergos, blade shape and handle are all as I had hoped. Blade is nice and thin behind the edge. It's heavier than I expected, due to the full liners but it gives it a solid feel...

Ordered mine from Cutlery Shoppe. Definitely excited about this one. Was debating on waiting on the Drunken but this one ticks almost all the same boxes for me and costs half as much!

Re: CPM 4V | Edge Performance

Staying tuned. So far I'm really liking my 4V Para3. Don't suppose you have any way of testing the hardness? I'm skeptical of St. Nick's claim of 62.5-64.

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Mine arrived yesterday evening and I got to carry it all day today. Hit the edge just a bit on the sharpmaker fine stones to really get the edge to pop and it's been great. My first para 3 and I love the ergos. Love the colors too. The grind on mine is just a little off at the tip but nothing that c...

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

They definitely seem to have handled this drop well. USPS says it will arrive tomorrow! Super excited. Been waiting for the right steel and color to try the Para 3. Thought that would be maxamet but I just couldn't pass up this color and the steel sounds like it will be right up my alley too.
