What does it mean when it says "manual verification required"?

I saw in the Sage 1 issue thread about dipping it in a bowl of water closed for 10 min or so and then doing it open for another 10 min and then drying it thoroughly and then applying some oil to it.

Mine actually aren't bad, the one side near the tip is a bit uneven but still looks fine

It is a perfect knife to carry as a college student! It doesn't scare anyone when I pull it out to open any packages and all of my friends are always surprised at how sharp it is and how well it cuts for being such a small knife!
