Re: Translucent Venom Green LC200N Manix Salt?
I asked for a Salt Manix ages ago. I would be all over it.

Re: Poll: more CBBL
It is silly how every conversation about CBBL seems to go to one finger opening and closing. That's great if you can do it but it is not how the lock was designed. You don't need mountain climber hands to open or close this knife and you don't even need practice to pull the lock back with two finger...

Re: Poll: more CBBL
Also, the cbbl is very ambidextrous design. I think because it has similarities with the axis lock people expect it to be more similar in operation. In my opinion it is much stronger and more controllable, with 15 minutes of practice you can master opening and closing a cbbl with one hand.

Re: Poll: more CBBL
Thanks for all the feedback. I’m glad I’m not the only one who want to see more designs with this lock. I’m sure it has its limitations with some designs. If you look at what spyderco has achieved in the Last couple years with the compression lock and integrating it into flippers and push button des...

Poll: more CBBL
Besides the beloved Manix there have not been a lot of knives released with this lock. I love the caged ball bearing lock. Who wants to see more of it?

Re: Need something new, help please
If you like the Sage 3 lock you should get a Manix. Lots of steel options too. My other suggestion would be the Kapara. It’s S30v but a great knife.

As long as it isn’t a fake if you send it in with the payment I think they will sharpen.

Re: Red G10 20CV Manix 2 - DLT EXCLUSIVE
Sorry for my ignorance. What are those? I always buy 2 of something I'm interested in, one to carry, the other to keep (either to flip later, or as a collectible). This was no exception. I haven't carried it yet, because I don't have a deep carry clip for it. So it's sitting on my desk. The only rec...

Re: VToku2 vs. hap40 vs. VG10 steel
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I am complete opposite. I can bring my hap40 Endura to scary sharp in no time at all. I have never been able to get my vtoku Endura sharper than it came from the factory. I use the SM and 40 degree slots. Tried with white and gray stones. Refuses to get really s...

Re: Spydiechef vs Kapara
I own both and I would pick the Kapara. The blade of the Spyderchef is to thick. If you are cutting apples or carrots it acts more like a wedge and splits vs slicing. I prefer the longer cutting edge of the Kapara and there is plenty of finger clearance. The Kapara is a great food prep design.

Because I like the CBBL better than backlocks. The Manix and Manix lightweight fit the bill.

Re: Is the CBBL dead???
I never intended this thread to become a case for the "mini manix" but I can understand the desire for those who want a <3" knife, particularly for legality in some places. The current Manix really isn't that big though. It has less than 3" of cutting edge (2.88). Any new CBBL de...

Re: Is the CBBL dead???
I have never had an issue with a g10 or frcp version in the 6 years I’ve owned them and besides keeping them sharp I haven’t taken special care of them.
