Re: Police XL Talk
This is exciting news indeed.
As a side note, I tried as hard as I could yesterday with my Police4 PD1 sprint, to close the knife in a different way than using my thumb to depress the lock and dropping the ricaso onto my finger.
I don't know if it's poor technique, weak finger strength, or more ...

I agree on the minimal belly (for my taste), heck I'd take a Wharncliffe if they'd make one.

Just got it😄 I don't know that I should be spending this much on what is a toy for me, but I like it. And from a use stand point it's interesting to note that the blade closes spine first. So you'd never have it close on you during hard use (unless the handle and a few other things broke), that ...

This is my most used Spyderco since it joined the collection. I keep it at 10dps, it is a laserbeam. I liked it so much, I bought 2 more. Just a cutting machine. Only a Police4 K390 Wharncliffe could be better.
That looks ...

Re: Police XL Talk
I definitely thumb 'marble flick' all my Spydies open. It's not a fidget thing at all. For me it's the fastest way. As quick as pushing the open button on an auto. Normal opening is just a little slower and requires me to adjust my grip a little more.

Re: Janisong incoming?
I grabbed one at National. My last balisong experience was with a Smallfly 1 back in the day. I ended up selling it after it bit me a few times. The Janisong has long fascinated me with its promise of being a safer balisong.
While it’s legal in my state to carry, I expect it to be more of an ...

vivi It's not just a paper cut. You could do real damage with edges as sharp as mine (and most of ours are). And it's not always lock failure, user error happens too. Failure to open fully, careless closing, as slip when closing. I have actually accidentally closed a backlock on my finger and had ...

Re: Police XL Talk
It's also an added safety for a knife with a strong spring assisted bias to close. Not just about a preferred closing method. Why remove safety for blade to handle ratio. Pick your blade length and enough ricaso for safety, make the appropriate handle size to match. It can still be handle ...
