Re: The best pocket knife ever

Wish I would have scored one of the K390's. The AEB-L is good. The 2 issues I had with it was a sharp bit of edge on the spydie hole that wasn't sanded enough at the factory. And a tip that stuck up beyond the handle when closed. Both gave me small cuts. Both were fixed with one of my sharpmaker sto...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe rex45 two-tone para3

I'm into customization with my spydies lately. I was going to do it regardless of the stock scales. But yes, going full Ti everything, clip, scales, screws about doubled the cost. And I've been itchin to try out my lanyard tube removal tool from Sharp Dressed Knives :D bought it months ago and haven...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe rex45 two-tone para3

There are so many great aftermarket scales to choose from. A Rex-45 para3 at a good price is awesome, the perfect platform for customization. Glad I scored one of these. Heck I might even grab one of the orange and blue ones when they drop so I can mod that one too :D

Re: stonewash/acidwash

Love stonewash. One of the best things about the base model Shaman is the stonewash clip and blade. Really gives it something extra. I also just got a Microtech with their 'Apocalyptic' finish which I would describe as 'extra stone washed'. They might even acid wash it a little, hard to tell. Looks ...

Well using my $1600 cqc 6 to turn a rusty screw and putting a huge chip in the blade. That was pretty sinful if you ask me! Down right dumb!
 you win. Makes me cringe, and yet also makes me strangely jealous? :D

Re: Would anyone be interested in...

I don't know about 'general' utility, but for me the 'work' utility is very much there. The way some of the cables I come across are zip tied, it would be dangerous to cut them with anything but a small hawkbill or a very thin pair of wire cutters (I'd likely cut myself or the cable). And a small h...

Re: Would anyone be interested in...

Question that you need to ask yourself: How you are going to sharpen it? If your only option is sharpmaker with diamond stones, are you willing to make your time grinding away possible chips in the blade on sharpmaker? K390 is no joke, I spend some time grinding away one small chip in the blade, an...

Re: Would anyone be interested in...

I've been asking for this for a while. Tool steel, PE, FFG hawkbill. Also Non-Light-Weight, I want g-10, CF, or Titanium. The Dragonfly would be top of my list, something like the Tasman 2 would be second, a new design would be welcome as well.

Every day at work. This is the one I’ve used since they came out. Well worn, well loved, well used, dirty, but still slicker than snot on a doorknob. VG10 rocks.
