Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

I'd curious but I kinda wish we could try this material in a different design. I'm thinking a 2" wharnie/ box cutter styled fixie. That's almost what someone will have if they break the tip off, no? Maybe there is even a way to "flint knapp" a point back on? I'm going to try to try t...

Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

The listing says a dedicated sheath is available, but I don't see one for sale separately. Is it included with the blade? I looked for the HIC Mule sheath as well...if not included, will it also be available Feb.7? Be nice to get them all in the same shipment. Please let me know. Thanks! Take care -

Re: Spyderco Reveal: Tell me more!

Sorry to hear about this...although I may have been impatient for some items to be released, I think the anticipation only sweetens the climax of finally opening that box with your new Spyderco knife! And I would also hate to see the Amsterdam Meet thread be reduced in scope, or go away completely. ...

Re: Calling all Canadians - Canadian knife discussion

If I got to choose; (and if it's doable with the available steels and the edge-type) it would be a Salt-version of the Spydersaw...we are a "Woodsy" country after all...and this "canadian knife" thing might be a good excuse for a sprint run. It can be "canadianized" how...

Re: NFFF/Never-Summer NATIVE: How "SALTy"?

I believe that when the USN LADYBUG HAWKBILLs were released, there was at the time already a standard LADYBUG HAWKBILL SALT...however, the USN CATCHERMAN was the only chance to get that knife with an H1 blade...but I can't remember if it was proclaimed an official SALT. There was also the toxic gree...

Re: NFFF/Never-Summer NATIVE: How "SALTy"?

Hey! I'd love to see those pix, even if I do know what the SALT-series knives are capable of... The reason for my question was simply that, although Spyderco does declare it to be "extremely corrosion resistant", I had not seen anything coming directly from Spyderco that stated the NFFF NA...

Re: NFFF/Never-Summer NATIVE: How "SALTy"?

Not trying to be obtuse; but I wasn't able to find anything from Spyderco that OFFICIALLY proclaimed the NFFF NATIVE as a SALT, and I didn't want to make that assumption merely because of the blade-steel that was chosen for it, precisely because of all the other non-SALT NATIVE 5s. Either way, the N...

NFFF/Never-Summer NATIVE: How "SALTy"?

A super-picky questions, and my apologies if this has already been covered... Of Spyderco's LC200N knives, of which I believe there are now only 3, the TUSK is an obvious member of the SALT-series, and the excellent SPYDIECHEF (the 1st full-PE/FFG SALT, I think) is proclaimed as: "A proud membe...

Re: Swick Hawkbill

H-1 Spyderedge, please...would be overjoyed at edge-out or the edge-in white-water versions.

"Perfection" would be a double-edge, H-1, "Warrior-Swick"...a sort of Spyderco/Perrin/Taylor collaboration. :o Dream big!

Credit to Chopping Brocoli's thread on this idea but if you won the lottery (apologies to the independantly wealthy among us) and could commission a sprint run what would it be. Mine would be: 1. Para 2 with S90V and Natural G10 liners (not skelatonized). Original Para 1 clip. CE, SE and PE options...

The Swick-series has got be one of Spyderco's kewlest, and most usefull, sprint run lines. Since the Swick line seems confined to "sprint run ONLY" status, I am still hoping to see a sprint of resuce Swicks at some point: http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18787&highlight=...

I like it for "field-sharpening"...though not as fancy or shmancy, it is much more durable and simpler for transport than the sharpmaker, and the diamond is quick.

I sharpmaker at home and duckfoot while away.

Any word on whether this is for just a certain knife or knives, or for the entire salt line? I'm wondering if the ladybug, specifically, would be too small?
