I have a custom kydex Swick2 sheath from this Spyderco forumite: http://www.spyderco.com/forums/member.php?u=12279 It has just about a 3rd of the finger-hole covered by kydex, which leaves more than enough for me to get the tip of my forefinger in there and yank it out. Any less kydex and the retent...

We probably won't for this knife as the military market prefers the current sheath, There are a few custom sheath makers that could make one for your current model. I think that's actually a drainage-hole, which any good kydex sheath ought to have. :cool: Some of the blade shows through the hole, but it is still tucked safely inside the sheath.
