Where is the number on the knife? I must be blind because I dont see it anywhere. Thanks!
It's on the inside of the liner at the back between the flipper tab and back spacer

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 CQI?

I just push the meat of my thumb down into the lock access and slide it over... Never seemed difficult on the 3 or more samples I've had even with XL hands. One of my more carried Spydercos since it's release. It might've been you who suggested that when I got my first GB. It works well for me and ...

Re: Spymyto is hot!

If you own a GB2, this lock feels like a silk pillow in comparison. My initial impression of this knife is quite good. Feels very nice in hand and looks even better, too. And the GB is like a silk pillow in comparison to the GB2. Still not difficult to unlock once you figure it out. I think the Spy...

Re: Spymyto is hot!

Unfortunately I didn't fall in love with the knife like I hoped I would and it will be on it's way to a new home this afternoon. Build quality was great, factory edge was great, blade was centered, action felt like it would break in nicely, and lockup was good. Definitely not a fault in execution, ...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 CQI?

I would also like the access to the linerlock to be improved. I did that improvement myself on the GB2, but want to keep the GB1 original as it's discontinued. This has been discussed since the GB was first released. I don't think they're going to change it at this point. They're really not that di...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 CQI?

Detent is fine on my GB2. Both of my original GBs are fine too. But that doesn't mean they're all fine. We all know it's common for the Taichung models to have weak detents. It's easy enough to fix if you happen to get one with weak detent

Re: Spymyto is hot!

Would anyone who has already received their Spymyto be willing to measure the bearings? Mine won't be here until Friday but I will update with my findings if no one else does before then. Pivot size/OD/ball diameter would be great. I'm curious if anything from Skiff would fit. already planning on u...

Re: Spymyto is hot!

Mine came today. I have to say it's very nicely done. Fit and finish is nice, edge bevels are even, ets. Mine flips great too. I like having a variety of opening options. Plus I like to use the flipper tab as a guard. So I'll be keeping it installed on mine

Re: Spymyto is hot!

What about the blade geometry made it a frustrating experience? The blade thickness? I'm wondering too. Something's wrong if it's peeling cardboard like that. We had a recliner delivered the other day and it came in two large boxes made of really thick card board. I used a SPY27 Manix 2 LW and K390...

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

I added a ceramic detent ball and opened up the detent hole a little on my existing Sage 5. Now the action rivals my Sage 5 LW. Actually, I think it's even better than my S5LW. It totally transformed the Sage 5 for me. I've done the same to my Kapara, Sliverax, and Mantra Thanks for the suggestion,...

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

For me it is its compression lock. Not only I prefer other locks or even no lock to a compression lock, but IME Taichung compression locks are simply unusable, ie pressing the tab combined with a wrist action won't close the blade. This was the case with the Sage which after failing to break it in ...

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

This thread reminded me that the Kapara is one of my favorite Spyderco collaboration models. It's now in my pocket for the day I don't have an issue with closing it the traditional compression lock way. But for those who do try closing it like a mid-lock. Use your thumb to move the lock bar over and...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

SpyMyto. IMG_5794.jpeg Nice! I was going to buy one but now I'm not so sure. I think I'd rather have the Lionsteel Skinny Integral. I was about to pull the trigger on one of those when I came to my senses. I need to reduce my knife count not add to it I just realized one of my sisters lives in the ...
