Re: More 4V Coming....

Given how popular their runs have been, and how other exclusives have been ramped up in terms of numbers, it seems odd to me that they would run <500 of them. I mean, I would bet pretty much anything that if were say 1,200 of them, they'd still sell out that day, if not <1hr... am I off base on thi...

That's really cool that SNK is continuing to release 4v but please tell me a pm2 will be forthcoming eventually!

SNK Manix 2 4V Coming....

A little bird told me that there'll be another model released with 4V in a couple weeks and it's not a PM2.

Stay tuned....

Re: Spyderco Smock:Technical Showcase, Dud Knife

I cringed a little when I saw that you (Michael) ordered a Smock. I was pretty sure it wouldn't be something you'd like. I received my Smock the other day and I actually like it much more that I thought I would. Is it a knife I'd grab for a sustained cutting job? No it's not. But I don't think there...

Re: Sage 5 stops

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I am looking at my Sage 5 and it looks pretty normal as far as compression locks go. Is it really the Sage 5? It has an internal stop pin too. Several models use it. I'd have to look but I'm pretty sure the Sliverax uses one. I think the Hanan and Kapara do t...

In stock at Knife Center
That figures! I was going to wait and order one from KC to add to my rewards points. Instead I saw them in stock at BHQ and ordered one from there. I figured I better get one while I can.

Re: >30 degree factory bevels

I never use the Sharpmaker base itself because I never hit the apex on either setting. I always thought they were supposedly ground to hit the apex at the 40 degree setting though? I've had at least 120 Spydies (I've stopped counting) and every one of them has hit the apex on both sides on the 40°s...

Re: >30 degree factory bevels

I could be wrong but it was my understanding that only certain models made in Golden were sharpened using a robotic arm. Also, I don't see what the big issue is with the edge angle the knives currently come with. It seems like it's good for general use and they all seem to be around 35° inclusive. S...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive SMOCK!

I like the looks of the smooth g10 over the original carbon peel ply and the 20cv makes it pretty tempting. I received mine yesterday and it's better than expected. The action and fit/finish are great. The ergos are a little different for me but, since it's not a knife I'll be using for long cuttin...

Re: Chaparral in Canvas Micarta?

I love the Chaparrals and would have a hard time passing on one with Canvas Micarta The LW Bi-Directional pattern is a little off to me, I may have bought one already if it was closer to the Seki FRN pattern. The others are a bit pricy. I'd love to see Micarta and a tool steel for $150 or less. Bon...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive SMOCK!

KJ Smock is here and it's a good one. The action is dialed in perfect (for me) and fit & finish are typical Taichung quality

Sounds like a great price as long as it's in good condition and isn't one of the counterfeit Vallottons

Re: Native 5 LW First Impressions

Use that Native 5 LW for awhile and it should break in nicely. I have 3 N5LWs and all have a better action than any of the Seki back locks I have (I have several). Push the lock bar and the blade drops down to 90° and I can complete closing using my thumb. I only have one or two Seki back locks I ca...
