Nice looking Tas there Tony! She's got some miles on her, but I am sure they are all highway miles!!

I need to get a Tasman salt SE, man. Love that edge, just grip it and rip it.

I couldn't have said it better. I feel the same way about the Tanto and the Chinese folder. I just keep coming back to those designs as some of my favorites of all time. I love the tanto blade shape for edc now as I carried a BM mini grip tanto as part of the rotation for a while. It is put away sin...

I was curious about any issues with a new Lum knife since Bob has passed now. He was alive when they agreed on the Lum Chinese ZDP, but now... I don't know how any of that licensing/rights/etc works on a collaboration goes. I assume Sal could make it work if so inclined. I agree it is nice to have M...

I like the convex edge idea but wonder if it would put production costs too high. It is hard enough to grind that appleseed grind on the tip (as a proper tanto should have) let alone the whole blade.

FB would be cool too but not for me. I just don't use them.

TA DA!!!!!! My Sage is now the way it should be. I straightened the non-locking liner by bending it over my knee. That steel is very resilient so it takes some muscle to get it straight. The knife was reassembled and now it rides like glass. Thanks in a way to El Tigre for suggesting the cleaning an...

After disassembly and cleaning, I polished the washers with 3M Chrome and Metal Polish, polsihed the blade tang and liners, and made everything shiny. I reassembled the knife and found the action to be the same. I took it back apart and noticed the non-locking liner is slightly bent. Observe: http:/...

The loctite will not solve the problem. 1. remove sage from box, drool over the unique CF finish 2. notice pivot is really stiff. "Hmm, we can fix that" 3. grab T9 torx and adjust pivot. Action still tight 4. Loosen pivot slowly until action frees up a little 5. notice blade is not centere...

It's not that easy. Loosen it and you have blade play and a blade that is not centered.

I did not vote, but I find the aesthetics of the grind play a role too. Certain knives look better than others with the grind types too. I prefer flat grinds or a well done hollow saber, but FFG looks much better to me. Example is the Native. I never cared for the look (I am sure it works really wel...

Jesse James of custom chopper fame and more recent TV fame carries a large SE SS Spydie. I presume it to be a police or similar model. There have been many movie and TV sightings as well.

Sal carries a military, he is pretty well known around here! :)

I have been asking for this as well. I hold up hope too, because I asked for a new Lum Chinese over 2 years ago. I would LOVE one like this:

This would be perfect for me. VG10 would be perfect to try and keep costs somewhat in control.
