Re: Speculation: Do you think that the Autonomy 1 will be discontinued?
There's the Autonomy 2, now with LC200N. And while 200N is being introduced to more and more models, H-1 isn't (just my feeling). I'm not sure if Spyderco will even produce another batch of the Autonomy 1. So do you expect it to be officially discontinued? I hope not, because I still need to pick o...

Re: Change Caribbean Scales to Rastafarian colors?
Not trying to hi-jack, but wasn’t there talk of Titanium scales for the Caribbean? I’d love to see that happen. With all the success that SpydieChef has had, I see TI Caribbean being very popular as well.

Man, I have been patiently waiting for this for a long time, but I have yet to find one as well. I don't pre-order after bad experiences. Crossing my fingers!

Re: Cruwear in Florida weather
As others have stated, it depends on where you will be. My daily carry is an M4 PM2 which is not as resistant as Cruwear. It sees very little oil without any issues; however, I carry it inland in the Orlando area. I make weekly trips to the coast for fishing/camping. When on the water I use LC200N o...

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.
There’s a reason why I stick to the Japanese and Golden made knives. Come on man, Taichung knives are debatably their best! Let’s stop that criticism right now.... I don’t think you could blame the factory for the design of the clip. I just wish I could afford one right now. If you guys love the kn...

Re: WE or KME for Spyderco FFG Blades
As far as i am concerned, i simply feel the WE is too expensive. I have the KME, and i can honestly say that if i owned the WE i still would have worked one side at the time to get a good burr, so that argument falls flat for me. Also, to my knowledge, there are at least as many doodads for the KME...

Re: WE or KME for Spyderco FFG Blades
That stinks that he never got his due. Props for repping him Sal! In regards to KME vs WE, I will cast my vote for the WE as well if money is not a concern. I love it, but it took a while to figure it out. I definitely recommend to follow their instructions to break in the stones on older/cheaper kn...

Re: Anso Rock Lobster Sprint Run?
Why is everyone so into lc200 all of a sudden? Because it is a fantastic steel that requires zero maintenance and throughout my usage(contractor) has outperformed S110V in everyway except edge retention. My poor S110V Native 5 and PM2 have seen zero pocket time since my Caribbean arrived last year....

I would be in for any version, but I think I would prefer LC200N in PE.

I also think that scratch resistance, or lack thereof, could be a problem for casual knife buyers. I absolutely love my Chef, but it scratches if I look at it wrong.
That being said, I can’t get enough of it. I love the way it performs and can’t wait to get more.

Re: 2018 Discontinued List
Yeah, I just got an email from KnifeCenter that they canceled my Sprig order because “it was not allocated as expected.” Frustrating! New Graham Knives has the Sprig for $159.99 Thanks for the heads up! I’ve never purchased from them before. Have you had good experiences? I’m in scramble mode now, b...

Re: Spyderco Caribbean Serrated Real world experience
One I can think of, off hand. LC200N can be flat ground. I have an SE sheepsfoot Caribbean and the blade is ground thinner than even the SE Delica wharncliffe. Wow, that’s very interesting. I hadn’t even considered picking one up in SE, but that makes me consider it. I’m still dreaming that this wi...

Re: Spyderco Caribbean Serrated Real world experience
That's a good question. I've only considered LC200N in PE. Is there a benefit in it over H1 in SE?

Re: 2018 Discontinued List
Ugh...I was finally going to buy the Sprig two days ago, but came across a good deal on another used, discontinued knife on my wish list. I bought that thinking, "I can get the Sprig later." Now, bam! Well I got to get in where I fit in. I learned my lesson with the Slysz Bowie. I just pic...

You can also count me in on the brown Micarta/Cru-wear purchase! I think that combo is perfect. Looking forward to it if it does in deed work out.

Yeah, I went ahead and got the gen 3 right off the bat due to all the FFG blades I have, but I sometimes wonder if I should have saved the money though.
