Hi guys, Well I think the knife is more suitable for EDC. It fits right in your pocket and the blade shape is very practical for daily chores. I use RWL-34 in my custom knives, but I really like this too. I did not think that a production knife could be so sharp out of the box but the edge on this ...
Hi guys! I'm in New Jersey right now at the ECCKS show witch will start tomorrow. I have the Vrango folder with me so for those that are attending the show, swing by my table and have a look at the knife. As far as the steel choice, well that was something Spyderco choose.

Yeah, it sure is a nice community you got going here.
Thank you for for giving me this warm welcome.

Thanks guys, Mike

That is a great looking knife right there. I really like that blade design and think it would be very useful in edc. Beautiful piece. But from what I read and see it looks smaller than a Native and without a choil. Is that correct? If so it might be a little too small for my mitts. Which sucks ...
Hi Michael and welcome to the forum. I have been interested in the Vrango since it was announced and found the looks of the design very intriguing. Ironically I am a fanatical kayak fisherman and a huge proponent of Spyderco's Salt knives but until recently I had no idea that the Vrango was ...
Guys, Here you can see "behind the curtain" so to speak. This is a picture of my custom knives but Vrango is made the same way. I wanted a fully covered backspacer and Spyderco wants a folder to be lightweight. So they made the backspacer in Ti. To do that they had to incorporate a hidden stop pin ...
Välkommen! :) I like it very much, reminds me of my Captain. I will get one for sure. I would have been happier without the blue anodization but it is by no means a deal breaker. Vrångö nästa!
Aha så du kan Svenska! Thank you for your comments. The anodizing, well I guess some like it and some ...
Hi Guys! So I will try to answer some of your questions here below.
twinboysdad, This design was from the begining a multi purpos design. A normal recurved tanto has two grinds, one on the recurve and one tanto tip so to speak. The Vrango differs from that. This blade has a straight grind which ...
Thank you so much for your warm welcome! It sure feels nice to be here. The folder hasn't come out yet but I got a chance to carry the production prototype for a few weeks last spring and I can tell you it's a heck of a knife. The properties and performance is right there and you can really feel ...
Hi Mike and welcome to the forum. I have to say the Vrango is an intriguing knife, do you have some suggestions on sharpening the blade to get best performance? It's a bit unusual and has that slight re-curve.
Johnnie, Thanks, well I use "edge pal" it's a Swedish sharpening system similar to the ...

Hi! My name is Michael Henningsson and I live in Sweden. I am the knifemaker behind the Vrango folder collaboration. I thought since the Vrango soon comes out it might be a good idea for me to join this forum. I will gladly answer any questions you might have about the knife. I think Spyderco have ...
