Hi... does anyone have any intel regarding when the larger Caribbean models will be released? I’m hoping it is soon!
Thanks!

Re: Pingo discontinued?!?
While I agree that a locking version would be great, the design was superb. It ensured that despite there being no locking mechanism, should the blade fold down onto your fingers, the edge wouldn't get you. The sweep of the belly is great and the lack of a thumb stud means that it can slice cleanly ...

Re: What is your favorite spyderco?
I really like my Blurple paramilitary 2. Oddly enough... Just as much I like my Pingo! I can't play with my Pingo as easily as my other Spydercos, but it really is a great blade! Its easy to maintain the edge, cuts amazingly well, and really fits your hand. Very very secure when in use. The designs ...

Re: I'm going over to Buck
Hey... Buck makes nice knives. And they're affordable. Do I think some of our Spyderco products are a bit overpriced? Maybe. But I can tell you that every Spyderco blade I've owned has made me feel like I got a lot of blade for my money. Are they do-all knives? Look at the tips... That's their stren...

Wait... Are we complaining that playing with our knives makes our balls go flat? I must say that this is distressing!

Re: Essentialism: what are your "vital few" Spydies?
PM2 (blurple): Big enough for serious business. Pointy enough for a variety of practical applications. Color is public friendly. Preferred EDC. Gayle Bradley 1: Perfect size for whittling/camp chores. Heavier duty. Pingo: Great design. Non-threatening in appearance. Super easy to keep sharp. Nice if...

Re: My Gayle Bradley Arrived!!!
I'm just going care for my knife as I do all my others. If it develops a patina as a result of use then so be it. Marine Tuff Cloth helps keep my stuff in good shape.

Re: My Gayle Bradley Arrived!!!
One other thing I forgot to mention was the profile of the butt end of the grip. The GB1 and the GB2 are very different at the back end of the handle. I personally like the way the GB1 feels. If you have ever handled a Domino, it's back end is similar. So I guess you guys have to now go out and run ...

They're great knives and reliable as you could ask for, but the edge does take some getting used to whe...

Re: Boss tipped my domino
You know Spydergirl88, Im', kind of torn about that sort of scenario. Generally speaking I don't let others handle my knives either. I figure that if they don't have their own knife they probably don't know how to handle one safely. Almost invariably I at least get asked "how do you close this ...

Re: Civilian. Why..
Your knife isn't a badge to folks any more than owning a a communist bloc - made full auto AK47 means you are a Soviet soldier. Besides they probably made it available for general sale as well for areas with no legal restrictions. It's a great personal defense knife. Actually I thought it addressed...

Re: Full serration or combo grind?
I've felt the same way Evil D. Personally I'm an either/or kind of guy. For EDC and camp chores/field work I prefer a PE blade. When I'm around the water I prefer to have an SE blade with me. Mission drives gear. Don't get me wrong... If I was out in the field and all I had was a SE blade I'm sure I...
