This page has me drooling. http://spydercollector.wordpress.com/2014/04/21/spyderco-2014-prototypes-overview/ I want a Tatanka so bad!!! I'll be ordering at least one Super Blue model this week, most likely the Stretch since I've never owned one, but I also want the Delica and Endura. I have several...

The prices on the S110V Forum Native aren't bad - they will probably rise. The fluted titanium Native will be around. I'd go for the S110V version, though you should be aware that there is a carbon fiber version coming soon. Good to know! Do we know what type of carbon fiber? I hope peel-ply since ...

Still debating on a Native 5 fluted titanium or a 2013 Forum Native 5....

Also need to get a Super Blue model, thinking Stretch over Endura or Caly since I've never had one.

Thanks for everyone's input!

I'm lucky enough to live near Plaza Cutlery. Not only are they an amazing knife store with a huge selection of all things sharp, and more (in a mall of all places!), but they put on one of the best knife shows on the West coast every October. They don't sell their Spyderco knives online, but they ha...

Very interesting! So, of all the pocket stones that Spyderco offers, if you had to have one, would this be it? I like the double sided flat stone also. I want to get a field sharpener that can do a fine edge as well as "utility".

Well I decided to splurge on the S90V/154CM Para2. One of the ebay sellers worked out a price with me that's in line with what the others have been selling for, I checked closed auctions. I'm pretty happy with that. And I can tell you I'll be keeping this one! But I don't know if I'm gonna stop ther...

I do have a Caly 3.5. Definitely a great EDC knife. I'd like to get one in Super Blue, or a Caly 3 damascus/carbon fiber.

There was a BNIB one on there last week for $199. That one arrived at my door Thursday ;) (needed to replace my backup one). Good deals are out there, you just have to be super vigilant! $226 for BNIB with free shipping isn't bad for being able to buy it now and not have to wait to snipe one on her...

All of the knives, which you mentioned are great choices, but not really available, so if you see any at decent price, grab them. Titanium Fluted Military and Native5. I love both. I love fluting on Military much more, but it is too huge for my taste. It is pride of my "collection", but N...

Back to Spyderco...again. Paramilitary 2, Military Ti, or Native 5?

Hey y'all. Good to be back on here, hope I'll stay awhile. I haven't been paying attention to Spyderco for a couple years, nor bought any. I was on an Emerson kick for awhile, but then I dug out a Paramilitary 2 M390 that I forgot I had. I started playing with it and, **** how did I ever let this kn...

REALLY need to try one of these. I'll probably end up getting the Sage 2 and 4 at the same time, but that's expensive. I can see what the OP is talking about in comparing the Sage 2 to the original RIL knife, but I like both of them for different reasons. Though, the Sage 2 is probably the better EDC.

Hi Jedi - You are asking a comparison question on the Spyderco forum. You will likely get a biased opinion in favor of Spyderco. And you will from me - I vote for the Sage 4. I think the Spyderco forum has the least bias I've come across compared to BF and USN. I think in general Spyderco collector...

Given Kristi's post saying the Forum Knife will be a Golden model, I think we can rule out the Native 4, since it was made in Japan. Native 4 had a CF handle. Must've meant Native 5. I find it interesting that there were ever Native models made overseas. I thought the whole point of the Native mode...

Forum knives are usually offered to forum members at 40% off, so no worries! It is a great marketing ploy too. Pique up the interest and increase the demand :D and have a good outcome all around. Everyone's a sure winner. For me, my last purchase from the SFO nearly got me taxed above the actual val...

Sage 4 vs Al Mar Eagle

So the Sage 4 looks like a really nice EDC/Gents knife. I've never had any of the Sage models, and I'm also tempted by the Sage 2. Since the 4 is a tribute to Al Mar, and I've never had an Al Mar (production or custom) and I'm wondering how the current production Eagle model with the cocobolo wood s...

Sounds like you're hesitant about the Taiwan knives, you keep using the "made in the USA" phrase. I'm all about made in the USA merchandise, but the Taiwan knives have earned a pretty unanimous respect for fit/finish and overall awesomeness. You really should check out a Sage even if you ...

I believe there is. Check out cs. The Tenacious has one of my favourite blade shapes. Great choice. Oh you're right there's a note saying "now in FFG". It still has to wait, but thanks for pointing that out! :) I voted Caly 3.5 Super Blue. If you want one, get it now, while you can still ...
